jkaem to reunite with AZR, liazz and Gratisfaction - Report

Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad and the Oceanic core are reportedly in talks with EXTREMUM.

jkaem could be on his way to reuniting with his former 100 Thieves teammates Aaron "⁠AZR⁠" Ward, Jay "⁠Liazz⁠" Tregillgas, and Sean "⁠Gratisfaction⁠" Kaiwai, having joined the trio in their negotiations with EXTREMUM as reported by DBLTAP.

The rifler has been a part of Apeks since October in what was supposed to be a three-year stint, but the Norwegian organization announced on December 19 that the 26-year-old left the team after being bought out of his contract, something the player's agent disputed stating that jkaem was in fact still under contract with Apeks, but negotiating with another organization.

Jkaem is set to leave Apeks after just two months

AZR, Liazz, Gratisfaction, and jkaem have a storied past, first under Renegades, where they played together since September of 2018 and reached the semifinals of the StarLadder Berlin Major the following year, and then in 100 Thieves starting in October of 2019.

The North American organization then announced that they would cease operating a CS:GO team in October of 2020, which is when jkaem made his move to Apeks and Justin "⁠jks⁠" Savage signed with Complexity, while AZR, Liazz, and Gratisfaction remained tied with the North American organization led by Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, where they are still under contract.

jkaem didn't have much time to transform Apeks into a better team in his short tenure, as the Norwegian squad mostly played at small events such as MIDNITE Nine to Five 7 and finished 5th-6th at DreamHack Open November following an elimination at the hands of AGF.

The organization the four players are in talks with, EXTREMUM, is led by Emir "sngz“ Udvincic, a business development manager, and is reportedly being funded by private investors. Should the deal come to fruition, the players are expected to start competing in Europe in 2021.

The team would rely SO MUCH on twistzz. Is not that it couldn't work, but I don't think the canadian would like to play for a team that ain't like top 3 or top 5, or that he sees potential to make it to the top.

jks used to play the role that made Liazz a name in the AU scene. Maybe he could be more of a secondary star in this team after Twistzz.

Considering his 2020 performances asking for a top 3-5 team is a tall order, maybe even delusional. He needs to grind back up through the player's ladder, and if Renegades were good enough for NAF to come back on the radars ( even though imo he was never off radars, just criminally underrated) they sure are good enough for Twistzz to reignite his career

But like realistically what are his options? The only EU teams in the top 10 I could MAYBE see Twistzz fitting into would be OG (-NBK/ISSA) or G2 (-Amanek) and I have no clue if that's an option or not. From there it's basically Extremum, C9's 6th, Faze (if they do a roster re-haul), Furia (No idea on the current state of the -Hen1/Vini situation but IF they do get kicked and Junior get's picked up, you'd have to think Twistzz would be a tempting replacement for Vini), EnvyUS (-Legija), or some sort of brand new team. In NA Koosta, Auti, BnTET, Twistzz, Obo/Xeppa or international you got MSL, Aizy, Dycha, Twistzz, ???. Lots of variables in where he ends up but I just hope he stays in CS and doesn't go to Valorant

Now that you've mentioned, there are some spare talents that could work together. In the best case scenario, we could see him teaming up with Junior (or auti, if he really wants to do the awping), Koosta (from what I recall he is a very smart and reliable player), a proper IGL (who doesn't go -8 every map), and some upcoming talent that can share with twistz the bigger portion of the frags. But yes, let's hope he doesn't go to riot's

i for once would like to run a different setup now . Double Js had to be the main carrys because Grtata had little to no impact with the awp so the riflers had to step up. What i want is to get them a very competent awper as the fifth who can frag heavy , put Liazz onto JKS` roles because he got screwed in Renegades playing clutcher while he played lurker in ORDER and absolutely smashed it and make Grata rifler/sec awp cause he is a pretty good rifler as well. But i got a big doubt anything of this sort even happens , can just hope they can actually get someone as good as JKS for the fifth , if not better provided they run the same setups they used to before.
