suNny benched by ENCE

The 26-year-old player noted that his future is undecided and that he is open to offers.

ENCE and Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi have reached a mutual agreement, the two parties have announced on Tuesday, which sees the 26-year-old player move to the bench as he searches for a new team in 2021.

A 15-month stint in ENCE has come to an end for suNny, who has already been linked with a move to GODSENT, as first reported by DBLTAP. In his Twitter post, suNny admitted that some talks are underway, but stressed that "nothing has been decided yet".

The Finnish organization took "full responsibility for not understanding the severity of the existent problems" within the team after a rift between the players came to light following an episode of HLTV Confirmed featuring Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli.

During the live show, the team's veteran player was called out by Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo, who posted on Twitter that allu is "isn't as simple and harmless persona as it may look", and that "there's a reason he's the only one left in the team from the original roster". suNny followed up saying that allu spoke the "truth but not the whole truth", and that he "wanted to hear the whole truth why the leadership was given to me".

suNny joins sergej as an inactive player of ENCE, leaving the team needing two to complete their lineup - including a new in-game leader. For DreamHack Masters Winter in December, the team loaned Tuomas "⁠SADDYX⁠" Louhimaa, but the youngster has since returned back to SJ.

"The process to restructure and rebuild our CS:GO team is ongoing and we will further communicate our 2021 plans after the Christmas holidays have concluded", ENCE wrote in their statement, asking their fans for patience as they "work tirelessly to come to a conclusion".

Actually, doing minor crimes means a fuck all in real life. It might be a little hurdle in achieving certain things, but its not something you cant deal with. They didn't actually admit that, it was a misunderstanding of the court documents from the reporter who published this story and Jamppi's legal team said so too, but I do agree that he should be unbanned, if they'd manage to actually prove that he couldn't have cheated it would probably be a great step in that direction

Without allu there would not have be new ENCE. He is the one who wanted to make all-Finnish pro team. He initiated resurrecting ENCE and started working on it. He selected the players, set the goals etc. These are not a matter of opinion, but factual statements. However, if you find that they are not true, I am happy to stand corrected (my memory is not so good and I don't have sources at hand to back the statements). Did allu destroy ENCE on the another hand is a matter of opinion, and everybody can have their opinion. I don't want to speculate that in this post.

Sergej only came back to CS because allu and "ENCE" (in this case probably meaning natu) convinced him and his family that it's gonna be a worthwhile project. Sergej quit HAVU the year before, so he probably wasn't too happy with his salary/career there. Allu wasn't willing to listen to Aleksib even as an igl, and you're seriously claiming that Aleksib would have had a say in creating the roster, allu's baby? And people here are actually saying that Aleksib was responsible for making that line-up, with absolutely no backing?

That was only unlucky moment for Kjaerbye but good for Astralis in the end. But benching Aleksib got the whole ENCE destroyed and also whole Finnish scene. HAVU atm is rebuilding their team and also SJ lost few players in this mess.

Honestly, the best bet for ENCE now is to kick Allu as well. Get Saw to take his retirement back and make him IGL, sign Saddyx and some other Finnish talent and grind their way back to the top from Tier 2. They aren't gonna be participating in Major anyway so Jampi's ban doesn't make a difference and he gets to finally play awp with Allu out of the picture. They are unreedemable unless they get rid of Allu too.

Its weird how none of these other players from his previous teams left him and got their teams destroyed because of him right? No, it not weird at all. People only wants someone to blame, thats it. Lets be real, all of this drama is bullshit and the blame lies with allu as much as every other player on ence. It was a collective decision to change out aleksi and it was regretted by all of them. Its sad when the community is more interested in the drama rather then the game itself. Well, for your information: allu has had been in finnish called "narina" as in "squeaky" since 1.6. times when he started, because of him whining so much. What the other players have been basically said, is that allu became the problem when he lost the limelight to Aleksib and thus wanted to kick him. This to me, sounds like very allu thing to do. I wasn't there, but I bet you weren't either. Allu is a good player imho, actually often valued lower that his capabilities lie in terms of personal skill.. Personality-wise, I can see him being a really hard person to deal with - especially in a team which doesn't have anyone else he would look up to (not even mentioning the problem of him being a partial owner of the org compared to other players.).

Jamppi wasn't unproven in the finnish scene or even lower tier international scene. ENCE was not stupid in recruiting him.. Even if he can't play, they can keep him as a streamer. He's quite popular for a finnish streamer and with the backup from ENCE, I would imagine he can keep his content quality up and be a good brand embassador f.e. for ENCE.

I'm just wondering about other players in the organization. This drama affects to all of them sadly as ENCE is top Finnish organization. For example Serral, their Starcraft 2 player. Apparently SADDYX was deleted from ENCE's HLTV page as well, but I think he was only stand-in though. What happens to doto next? He is in trial period anyway so far. Jamppi can't do much anymore as well, because of the VAC ban. Even though he is really skilled and potential top tier player and according to Suomi clips he has impressed players from other international teams such as FalleN. ENCE has SC2, PubG and NHL teams as well, but they have different contracts and scenes. However CS:GO has been their main team and scene kinda, so all this affects to other teams and inside the organization. Not sure what happened to the ENCE psychologist Mia Stellberg, who joined there from Astralis. Is she still working for ENCE? From the marketing videos it showed like the players especially allu ignored her. Players didn't respect her job at all. So, that's why all this happened. Also about the videos, ENCE showed too much behind the scenes content. It affected to their performance as well. Hiring that video guy was mistake to be honest. After all, I believe there is a new Finnish eSports top tier organization in the makings in order to get rid off some of the ENCE owners. That would be something Procyon would be doing at least.

I don't personally see other fix than allu steps down from ENCE and all the ownerships somehow gets changed, or paid back cumulatively. Or allu just takes a break from the gaming and gets to streaming content for example. We as Finns all respect after all what allu has done for the scene, but future-wise we have to think more wisely. Psychology-wise we don't want to start hating allu. Not sure what the solution could be here, but maybe Mia knows. ENCE should think this situation as an organization and respect their other teams as well. Unfortunately for allu these are the options. This has happened in other gaming organizations so many times that fixes should be somewhat easy to do. Also if you follow F1, you have probably seen what happened in short time to Nikita Mazepin at Haas team. Sponsors already got alerted and similarily allu stuff could hurt ENCE's sponsors.

The "same thing" is Finnish CS-teams always try to fix their underlying issues by replacing players. Usually a player, followed by even worse tournament results, followed by replacing another player, followed by even worse tournament results. Until several changes and desperate but ultimately attempts at figuring out what the problem is later the team is in shambles, and they end up disbanding. It's always the same way. Make a completely idiotic player change -> Become worse -> Change another player -> Become worse -> Disband. And yes, it's been the exact same way since at least 2004. Or 2006 I suppose because it was then lurppis' team Wings kicked off the new wave for Finnish CS teams, and basically all of the teams that came after did the same thing, replacing players, fall in the rankings and disband/move the "core" to a new team to start over.

I was around the 1.6 scene from 2003, and around CS from 1999. And being Finnish, I was obviously around the Finnish scene specifically. And yes, it did happen to both WinFakt and Power Gaming. No idea what you're referring to with "OK".

Of course I am and it´s funny how people seem to think that he´s the only one to blame for everything. Most of their social pressure was because of sunnys poor performance, and that has a big role in this whole mess and their bad atmosphere. I´m not saying it was ever a good thing to kick Aleksi, but if sunny would have performed even in 50% of his 2018 level, it wouldn´t been AS questionable move. Now they got nothing as return for loosing Aleksi.
