IMPULSE qualify for EM Dubai

IMPULSE are the first Emirati team to have qualified for the Extreme Masters Global Challenge in Dubai following a 2-0 success over Excellence.

The ESL is holding two qualifiers for its Global Challenge event in Dubai, each one rewarding the winner with a spot in the main competition, which is scheduled to start on 20 October.

The first qualifier has just ended with IMPULSE, who also attended last year's event, coming out on top with a 2-0 win over Excellence. iM had defeated the country's most famous team, Assassins List, in the semi-finals, and confirmed their good form in the final to book a spot in the main competition.

It is still unknown in which group IMPULSE will be placed. The second local qualifier takes place tomorrow, so stay locked to HLTV.org to find out the winner.

Isn't impulse the team that joined last year's EM Dubai? 2-0 finals looks like they are a more confident team right now. Watch more demos :D

Well, Ate wanted to. I remember javo telling this (about Extreme Masters) on our forums few months back. But then WCG dates were not announced. There were rumours about the dates which clashed with the Extreme Masters ! So, Ate had to rethink over attending Dubai.

Impulse is a very good team and defintely stand out on the UAE level. These guys definitely deserve opportunities outside UAE, but due to lack of gaming sponsors it is difficult. Good luck to them, and I am sure they will make a mark for UAE this time around. Impulse line up: whMsy Jap Sak Lex Hvk

i remember a saudian team on eswc 2k5 i guess, they were true beginners (buying with mouse and stuff), and i didn't understand how they ended playing against SoA @ ESWC...they even lost 16-0 against the moroccan team who attentend ESWC this year anyway, i just hope this emirati clan will surprise us in the good way :)
