Singularity remove two ahead of new season
The Danish organization has parted ways with Tobias "TOBIZ" Theo and Casper "Celrate" Andersen after the team dropped out of the top100 of the world rankings.
Singularity has said farewell to two players that have been a part of their team since February of last year, TOBIZ and Celrate, announcing changes in the lineup before they return to action in 2021.
The inability to keep on to an ESEA MDL spot, due to losses to Winstrike and Illuminar in the Season 35 Relegation tournament, was the team's final result before the roster changes were announced.

"During my time [in Singularity] we survived three MDL seasons, but we sadly didn’t perform well enough to survive a fourth," Celrate said. "Therefore, the team decided to pursue new roster opportunities."
TOBIZ, who was benched from the team in September but returned to the active lineup a month later, added that selling off the team's best talents caused issues, especially Jonas "Queenix" Dideriksen's departure to x6tence in April:
"I want to thank the team around Singularity for always providing us great support and the chances to prove ourselves against better teams. Unfortunately after the first sale of Queenix it all just slowly went downhill and with the exit of MDL, something had to be changed again. Best of luck to Singularity", the 25-year-old said in a statement on the team's website
In 2020, Singularity transferred off a number of Danish prospects in addition to Queenix. Daniel "mertz" Mertz and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard also left the team for greener pastures, while Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi departed to Copenhagen Flames just three months after being signed by Singularity.
The organization's Founder and CEO, Atle S. Stehouwer said that removing TOBIZ and Celrate was a consequence of the results in the last quarter of 2020 and that they "agreed internally that something had to change in the team going into 2021".
"2020 wasn’t Team Singularity’s best year in CS:GO, but we still managed to develop, spotlight, and transfer a wide range of players up the ecosystem," the CEO concluded.
Singularity are now down to three, but are looking to announce their 2021 roster "later this month":
Anton "notaN" Pedersen
Oliver "IceBerg" Berg
Emil "Remoy" Schlichter
Casper 'Celrate' Andersen
