NiP to face off against BIG in showmatch

The Swedish and German teams will meet in a best-of-five clash organised by Betway.

With the 2021 season set to kick off on January 18, Betway has put together an exciting matchup to get Counter-Strike fans excited for the year ahead with Ninjas in Pyjamas taking on BIG in a best-of-five showmatch scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, at 16:30 .

The thrilling clash will feature an older version of Tuscan, a community favourite in CS 1.6, as well as Cache and Cobblestone.

CS:GO fans can look forward to this spectacle

The two teams last faced off at IEM Beijing-Haidian, in which BIG edged out Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-1 in the group stage. This time around the Germans and Swedes will have less at stake, although an action-packed back-and-forth can still be expected from the European sides.

Commentating on the action will be Ninjas in Pyjamas coach Björn "⁠THREAT⁠" Pers and former BIG player Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik alongside a surprise caster, who is set to be revealed in the coming days. The matchup will be broadcast on Betway's Twitch and YouTube channels.

Tuscan wasn't a community favourite, it was another map imposed by valve, I'd play aztec 100 times before

gtfo tuscan and the original cpl map (basically identical) was a legendary map layout that was popular the whole way. nobody played aztec after like 2004. I know because I used to love aztec (the bright one from CS 1.1 to 1.5)
