mousesports ease past FaZe in acoR’s debut at cs_summit 7

FaZe were no match for MOUZ in their cs_summit 7 opening match, which David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský and company took in two one-sided maps.

MOUZ and FaZe kicked off their tournament seasons against each other in the cs_summit 7 Group B opening match amid reports of possible player transfers on both sides, including Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen rumored to be in talks with the organization he went up against. So far, however, the biggest change in the Danish IGL’s current team this season has been the acquisition of Frederik "⁠acoR⁠" Gyldstrand, who debuted with his new outfit against FaZe after taking over Chris "⁠chrisJ⁠" de Jong’s spot in the starting five.

Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool and company were able to secure their first victory of the year convincingly as they converted a strong CT side on FaZe’s map pick, Mirage, into a 1-0 lead without receiving much pushback from Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David's squad. Moving on to their own selection, Train, they were able to close out the series cleanly as frozen put on a display, ending the 16-4 map with 30 kills.

FaZe kicked off the series on Mirage with an A execution, but it was MOUZ who got ahead on the defending side. The map felt pretty one-sided throughout the first half, as karrigan and company only let the Terrorists get a smattering of rounds on the attack, going up 11-4 before switching sides.

FaZe bridged the gap early on in the second half taking the pistol round before Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer secured the following round with a 1vs2 afterplant clutch, but they were quickly put back against the wall as MOUZ locked the map in dominantly, 16-5.

MOUZ carried their momentum into Train, their map pick, winning the pistol round and going up 3-0 on the attacking side before FaZe could get on the board. frozen came out swinging with 12 frags in six rounds as he and his squad continued to plow past the CTs. It wasn’t until the tenth round that FaZe were able to get back on the board, but frozen kept tearing through the defenses with an ace to keep MOUZ in the driver’s seat.

FaZe, deflated after another 4-11 half, were all but done for, as MOUZ went on to win the map out cleanly on the defense, 16-4, to close the series out and secure a spot in the next upper bracket group stage match.
