TMB joins MAD Lions

The 18-year-old player completes the lineup following the departure of Frederik "⁠acoR⁠" Gyldstrand.

MAD Lions have confirmed their five-man roster after revealing the signing of Thomas "⁠TMB⁠" Bundsbæk from AGF on Friday. The youngster's play in 2020 garnered attention in his home country, as three of the best Danish players picked him as an up-and-coming star.

TMB will have a chance to prove his worth in MAD Lions, a top-30 team with a spot in the upcoming edition of Flashpoint. Usually a hybrid player, he is expected to slot into the main AWP role in the team which was left vacant by acoR's move to MOUZ,

TMB is MAD Lions' newest player

With a 1.10 rating across last year, TMB is a highly-touted Danish rookie. In the few matches his former team AGF (peak rank #39) managed to play against the best teams in the world, he stood out, averaging a 1.22 rating against HEROIC in Elisa Invitational 2 and a 1.25 rating against Gambit in DreamHack Open November.

Worth noting is that TMB's former team AGF is in a partnership agreement with North who recently completed their lineup with 21-year-old Swede Denis "⁠grux⁠" Gutaj.

The latest changes in MAD Lions leave the team with just two members from their Flashpoint 1 winning roster. Lucas "⁠Bubzkji⁠" Andersen, Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen, and most recently acoR, all left the team in a span of 12 months, as well as short-term solution Paweł "⁠innocent⁠" Mocek.

Since the additions of Ismail "⁠refrezh⁠" Ali and Rasmus "⁠HooXi⁠" Nielsen to the lineup in October, MAD Lions peaked at #22 in the world rankings, placing 9-12th at IEM Beijing-Haidian. The team has not announced its participation in any upcoming tournaments as of the writing of this article.

They never postulated that he was THE BEST TALENT IN DENMARK. They picked him as a "bold prediction" meaning that he has the potential to become one of the greats. There's a huge difference between saying someone IS and someone could become under the right circumstances
