BLUEJAYS unveil international roster featuring Kvik

The Lithuanian player returns to action in a team led by former Valiance caller Anel "⁠NENO⁠" Ceković.

The German organization BLUEJAYS revealed their new lineup on Sunday, which features a mixture of European talent.

The most recognizable name on the list is ELEAGUE Major 2018 quarter-finalist with Quantum Bellator Fire Aurimas "⁠Kvik⁠" Kvakšys. He is joined by a young trio in Deyvid "⁠h4rn⁠" Benchev, Frederik "⁠Fessor⁠" Sørensen, and Nemanja "⁠sarenii⁠" Šarenac, while NENO will be in charge of calling the shots.

sarenii, who was a part of the Serbian BLUEJAYS lineup in 2019, returns to the organization after linking up with NENO who scoured FPL-C for talented players. "Things fell in place with me being the IGL and support player, sarenii as the entry, Fessor will be the second entry, h4rn is on the AWP, and Kvik will be lurking," NENO explained. Additionally, the team will be coached by Serbian tactician Darko "⁠soLo⁠" Mitić.

Since the team's formation, h4rn and Fessor both managed to qualify for FPL, showing promise on an individual level. On the other hand, the level of Kvik is a question mark, as the Lithuanian has been out of the spotlight since leaving Winstrike in 2019.

"I always wanted to compete at the highest level and I still really want to do it, but ever since I left Winstrike, I haven't found the right people to do it with," Kvik said about his inactivity and joining BLUEJAYS. "After playing with the guys for some time I felt that this might be the right place to come back into play."

"My expectation is to get back to the highest level of CS and this might be one of my last chances to do so, because year by year, people look at you differently. Prove to myself and everyone else that I can still do it - that is my personal goal."

On a team level, BLUEJAYS' sights are set on qualifying for ESEA Premier, NENO adds: "We are currently in the phase of getting to know each other and now the grind starts. We will focus on ESEA Advanced, our goal is to reach Premier, and we hope to get an invite for a Snow Sweet Snow cup while playing all of the most important qualifiers."

"The team has potential to become top30 in the world, and with good efforts, I think we will slowly rise in the ranking," he concludes.
