The two times ESWC champions, now known as Vitriolic, showed glimpses of the old form that brought them so many trophies.
It was mousesports who had to be the victim of the Polish dynamite once again being tested. The Germans faced a 4-11 defeat playing their CT side on inferno. Winning the pistol-round made the mousesports camp feel a tad better, but not for long.
The Poles mastered deagle artwork in the second round, bringing home the round and really putting mousesports in a difficult position. It took some time for Vitriolic to lock down the match, as mousesports kept their game high. The Poles realized the victory versus mousesports at the score 16-11, ending up winning 16-14 overall.
Virtus.pro also showed great play in their match against k23. The Russian-speaking battle was won by a strong going Virtus.pro, who with a perfect CT side on nuke, winning 13-2, faced no problems to lock the match down at the score 16-3 and 23-7 overall.
Vitriolic will be up against the Chengdu champions from SK Gaming in their next match, while k23 will test mousesports.
