The AWPer was deemed surplus to requirements after spending nearly three years with the Russian organization.

Bogdan "⁠xsepower⁠" Chernikov's time with FORZE has come to an end, the organization announced on Twitter on Thursday, placing him on the transfer list. The 22-year-old AWPer will be looking for a new home together with Dmitriy "⁠facecrack⁠" Alekseyev after Aleksandr "⁠zorte⁠" Zagodyrenko and Aleksandr "⁠KENSI⁠" Gurkin were brought in to finalise FORZE's new roster.

FORZE are open to offers for xsepower, and stressed that changing two long-standing members was "very difficult", but that "together with the team we came to the conclusion that it's time to try something new."

xsepower is looking for a new organization to represent

One of the key members in FORZE's rise from obscurity, xsepower joined the team in March of 2018, when they were outside of the top 50 in the world rankings. Finishing 3-4th at the PLG Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi helped the squad break into the top 30 before the end of the year, with the rise continuing in 2019.

xsepower was in great form throughout that year — averaging a 1.20 rating (1.12 vs. top 10 teams) —, as they lifted the Copenhagen Games 2019 trophy and finished runners-up at BLAST Pro Series Moscow. However, the team struggled in 2020, falling from their peak rank of #12 to the edge of the top 30, with the AWPer hitting a poor patch in the final part of the year (1.03 rating over last three months).

In hopes of turning things around, FORZE trialed a number of different players, and have decided to replace xsepower, as well as facecrack, with ex-ETHEREAL duo zorte and KENSI.

I agree that he would be the best performing player in a functional team, but because it's easier to get good stats with AWP. I always give a bit extra credit to a good performing riffler, and fl1t has just been a good player for 6+ months now. but ye I don't know why they would ever get zorte instead of xsepower :)

yy I know he has potential. I don't see a problem with forze picking him up, because he is a great player. I am more wondering why they would bench xsepower, because he is a still a sick player even tho he has had 3 rough months.

i think its probably internal issues. xsepower knows he has value, and is one of the best CIS awpers. Maybe jerry decided to shift positions and xsepower didn't like that and want to play those positions. maybe as a result of that his impact decreased. you never know. there's lots of reasons for players to get removed, and sheer performance stat is just one of them. Jerry has some good ideas about the game, and having a young player like zorte whom he can mold to become the awper that will fit best in jerry's system could be extremely beneficial for the team, more than sticking with a more rigid player like xse for instance. just speculation ultimately, but point is there's more that goes into decision than just stats. lots of people complain that allu is team ruining for example, but at the same time he is also a very consistently good T1 awper. whether you give value to team dynamic or statline is a big question, and it comes down to what the team wants to do. forze values team dynamic heavily it seems.

He is not doing his job. Main thing awper needs to be doing is getting frags at start of rounds or when holding site. He is eighter not challenging any of it or just constantly saving, round after round after round. Sure he gets 20 frags, but literally 15 of them are exit.

To be honest almazer is a way worse player individually than xsepower. I understand that these are different positions, but xsepower definitely was not the problem of forZe playing badly lately

Worst thing they could have done. Yes he is in a slump right now, but apart from S1mple he is the best AWPer in CIS individually and he doesn't bait his teammates on the t side to get entries like most AWPers do.
