Nordavind, K23, Movistar Riders & VOYVODA advance to DHM Spring closed qualifier

The team list for the closed qualifier is now complete as the quartet joins four invited sides in the next stage.

The DreamHack Masters Spring Europe closed qualifier has come to an end after the second day of play on Friday, producing four teams advancing to the closed stage: Nordavind, K23, Movistar Riders, and VOYVODA.

The second day saw the final eight teams play out the spot-deciding quarter-finals after a number of fan favorites were eliminated from the tournament on Thursday, including MIBR, fnatic, EXTREMUM, and Sprout.

AdreN's K23 will fight an uphill battle in the next stage

Movistar Riders earned their spot with a comfortable victory over Budapest Five in the round of eight, with K23 following soon after thanks to an overtime win on Inferno and a dominant showing on Overpass against Singularity.

Meanwhile, Nordavind and VOYVODA — a Bulgarian team featuring former MK core Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov, Simeon "dream3r" Ganev, and Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov — won their series in three maps, facing SG.pro and Hard Legion, respectively.

Below is the final team list of the closed qualifier, which will hand out three spots at the main event via a double-elimination best-of-three bracket, played on March 6-7:

thats why bo1 qualifier are so stupid. Instead of forcing everything in one day, add 1-2 extra days and they would have much better results.

Bo1 stupid? Haha, for someone who is proffesional player Bo1 is test for his team, skill and show how much one team is proffesionaly playing CS. Suddenly it shows up how much fnatic, Mibr, Extremum, Sprout, forZe, Attax suck and are unproffesional even they are 24/7 infront of PC's with special conditions like gaming houses, bootcamp, best equipment etc. . I think u can't understand it, so I explained well

+1 It's an obligation for these T1 teams wo win against teams that aren't even professionals, either it's BO1s or BO3s. If they are not used to teams playing the meta, rushing and taking chances because they have nothing to lose, they gotta have ways to punish the yolo gamestyle, that's all they do ffs.

you realize lower ranked teams have much better chance to win bo1 against tier1 teams than bo3?

you realize what is professionalism? No space for doing mistakes, especially on bo1. They are proffesionals, 24/7 infront of PC, with special conditions like equipment, houses etc.

Do you think the better team on average advance more often in bo1 or bo3?

Groupstage bo1 Elimination matches Bo1 (1/128)(1/64)(1/32)(1/16) Bo3 (1/4)(1/8) I miss CS 1.6, when players were trully proffesional, were educated, socialised and skilled. Its not nostalgia, its real truth.
