mousesports, Complexity secure Flashpoint 3 spots

The favorites have booked their tickets for the RMR event, while the likes of HAVU, Dignitas, and Sprout will fight for the three remaining slots in the lower bracket.

MOUZ' 2-0 win over HAVU ensured the European squad a spot at the first Regional Major Ranking (RMR) event of the year, while Complexity managed the same after a more contested game against Anonymo, 2-1.

The closed qualifier for Flashpoint 3 is far from over, though, with six teams still alive in the lower bracket, and seeding matches left to be played for the upper bracket ones.

ropz posted a 1.25 rating in the qualifier

At least one goal that MOUZ set for themselves ahead of the action-packed week — which sees them compete in the closed qualifiers for Flashpoint 3 and IEM Summer, as well as the group stage of DreamHack Masters Spring — has been reached. After taking down Lilmix and Movistar Riders on the first day, MOUZ went three out of three in the Flashpoint 3 qualifier by beating HAVU (16-11 Nuke, 16-11 Train) and secured a spot at the main event.

Complexity, the highest-ranked team in the closed qualifier, fended off GameAgents and overcame Sprout to set up a match with Anonymo, the biggest surprise of the qualifier so far. The Poles ranked No. 47 in the world took down ENCE and Dignitas earlier in the tournament and kicked off the series against Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and co. with a 16-14 victory on Mirage. The favorites bounced back on Vertigo, 16-11, before bringing it home on the decider Nuke, 16-11. The standout in the series was certainly Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, who posted a 1.43 rating across three maps.

Upper bracket semi-final results

Europe Complexity 2-1 Poland Anonymo
Europe MOUZ 2-0 Finland HAVU

In the lower bracket, Movistar Riders were left disappointed as DBL PONEY eliminated them in three maps. The Spanish organization's team took down ENCE and FURIA earlier in the week, but was unable to display the same form in the Flashpoint 3 closed qualifier. Similarly, SKADE, ranked No.24, are out following losses to Sprout and Endpoint as the Bulgarians' form dipped at a crucial moment in the season.

Dignitas advanced to the next round of the lower bracket with a dominant win over AGO (Vertigo 16-8, Nuke 16-6), while Sprout dealt with Tricked. The Danish team forfeited the first map of the series due to a scheduling conflict, while Josef "faveN" Baumann and co. edged them out on the second map, 16-14.

Lower bracket round 2 results

United Kingdom Endpoint 2-0 Bulgaria SKADE
France DBL PONEY 2-1 Europe Movistar Riders
Sweden Dignitas 2-0 Poland AGO
Germany Sprout 2-0 Denmark Tricked

The action continues shortly with matches in both the upper and lower bracket:

Upper bracket final

Europe Complexity vs. Europe MOUZ

Lower bracket round 3
United Kingdom Endpoint vs. France DBL PONEY
Sweden Dignitas vs. Germany Sprout.

Three more slots for Flashpoint 3 will be distributed through the closed qualifier, with the fate of the final one — previously belonging to North —, still unknown.

F for the Riders , they were going pretty good. Too many matches scheduled in the same day for both Mouz and Movistar , back to back with no breaks and such.

So did complexity and mouse play for seeding? Of was their match pointless to play?

mousesports still seems to lack firepower in some of the games they play honestly, but they are showing some potential. I'm really surprised that Complexity made it, like they really don't know how to use their firepower properly and it's a huge problem for them, but that result is quite promising, GJ for them.
