Akuma shock NAVI in EPIC League CIS

Underdogs Akuma swept the second-best team in the world 2-0 to move on in the upper bracket of the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) event.

Natus Vincere suffered a shocking defeat in their first playoffs game in EPIC League CIS as Akuma swept them aside with a near-flawless Mirage (16-2) and confident Dust2 (16-10).

The best-rated player of the group stage, Dmytro "⁠SENSEi⁠" Shvorak, stepped up to the task once again. The AWPer posted a server-high 1.49 rating across the two maps, spearheading an impressive team performance from the all-Ukrainian squad currently ranked 47th in the world.

s1mple's struggled to make an impact on Mirage

On the other hand, Natus Vincere continue to blow hot and cold as the DreamHack Masters Spring champions first dropped a series to Entropiq in the group stage of the RMR event, and have now been outclassed by Akuma.

Additionally, the team's superstar Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev recorded his worst map since joining the squad, posting merely a 0.20 rating on Mirage. Still, the "Black and Yellow" are not out of the tournament, as they will be looking to redeem themselves in the lower bracket where they face FORZE in an elimination match on Wednesday at 19:00 .

Andrey "⁠Jerry⁠" Mekhryakov and co. were unable to continue their strong group stage showing as they moved to the playoffs and faced Virtus.pro, who turned things around after looking shaky early in the tournament. Following a 2-1 victory over FORZE, the Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali-led squad will clash with underdogs Akuma in the next round for a place in the upper bracket final.

1 Player might have an off day. 2 could have had. But all 5??? Clear Match fixing. Ever since the whole online era started, in my opinion room for a repeat of IBP got bigger. Most of the tournaments are "sponsored" by betting companies like GGBet and 1xBet. The "tech timeouts" are happening too often. Do notice the change in flow of the game after these timeouts the next time you get a chance. I wonder why there were not so many timeouts back on LAN? (not all of them are results of high ping or internet issues, right?) I can be wrong for sure, but imo I am 70% sure, that some of the matches are fixed for sure.

Why would they wanna end top 8? Only 5 teams from CIS will qualify for the Major, and getting top 8 in this event doesn't guarantee they'll be top 5 for next RMR event, which means they aren't guaranteed a free spot. Could mean they need to turn down a DHM or IEM event just to play a closed qualifier.

They focused on their own playstyle if you seen the game, you would see that it is not Akuma winning Navi's rounds, but Akuma winning in total. Navi couldn't keep up.
