Budapest Five have lost star AWPer Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás, who joined the organization when they signed the former Salamander roster in May 2020, as he has now been bought out of his contract.

The 19-year-old was a key player for Budapest Five with a 1.20 rating while manning the big green in the Hungarian squad, and was one of the engines that helped the team peak at No.41 in the world ranking earlier in the year.

Budapest Five were regulars at online cups during torzsi's tenure, playing events such as the Home Sweet Home and Malta Vibes series where they often reached the playoffs but struggled to make deep runs, as well as in the open and closed qualifier circuit. In his last tournament with the team, BLAST Rising, the young AWPer ended a 16-map run with a 1.24 rating and +93 KDD in their 9-16th place finish.

Before the official announcement of his departure on Monday, torzsi was last seen playing an ESEA Cash Cup over the weekend in a mix-team with the likes of Jon "⁠JDC⁠" de Castro and Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman.

torzsi's departure leaves two spots open in the team, who had been playing with Jurus "⁠Kamion⁠" Zsolt as a stand-in following the benching of Patrik "⁠bodito⁠" Boda last month. This opened up the possibility of bringing on international players according to coach Antonio "⁠Cr0n0s⁠" Soriano, as they have played with non-Hungarian stand-ins, but the team's future is not yet set in stone.

Budapest Five currently have a 3-0 record in ESEA Advanced and played their last match in the league with Dion "⁠FASHR⁠" Derksen, who already stood in for the team briefly at BLAST Rising, and Martin "⁠mar⁠" Kuyumdjiev.

"We've been making good progress since I joined the team [in March]," Cr0n0s told HLTV.org, "our goal is to make this season's ESEA Premier Relegations, although we know it's probably going to be one of the hardest ESEA Advanced seasons to date."

They had cronos as their coach and he was playing a lot of fplc. I guess good enough to be able to play in an international team. He just finished school so he can focus more on his english and gameplay.
