Tomkeejs joins Sinners as coach

The 23-year-old will fill the vacancy left by the departure of Michal "⁠KETUBOR⁠" Csontoš in March.

Tomáš "⁠Tomkeejs⁠" Tomka has been unveiled as the new coach of SINNERS, marking his return to CS:GO after retiring as a player in June of 2020 to pursue a career in VALORANT. The former in-game leader of Dark Tigers will be helping the Czech side that has been coachless since March, when KETUBOR stepped from the position.

"It didn't take long to realise how much I’ve missed CS," the young tactician said about returning to the game in an interview for the team's website, noting that his transition from player to coach made sense as "the position of coach is as enjoyable as playing for me".

Tomkeejs will be coaching oskar and co.

The new coach will have big shoes to fill, replacing one of the Czech-Slovak scene's most decorated coaches KETUBOR, who moved to Australia to pursue opportunities outside of esports. "It is a huge challenge, but at the same time, I am extremely excited. I firmly believe that I have a lot to offer and that I can help the boys with their goals," Tomkeejs added.

SINNERS are currently ranked 39th in the world, falling from their peak at No. 24 in February. With a new tactician behind them, the Czech squad aims to go even further as their goals are to become top 20 in the world and qualify for ESL Pro League. Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný's team is currently competing in ESEA Premier, where they hold a 5-0 record in the group stage, beating teams such as Sprout, AGO, and Endpoint.
