The Madrid-based organization is already working on finding a new roster.

Case have benched their CS:GO squad effective immediately, cutting the season short ahead of RTP Arena Cup 2021, the Iberian BLAST Premier qualifier, which the team was scheduled to play on July 9-11.

The Brazilian squad was brought on as the founding team for Case when Real Madrid midfielder Henrique Casemiro launched his esports venture in October 2020 and the players were flown out to compete out of the organization's headquarters in the Spanish capital.

Case will announce a new team in the coming weeks

When Case was initially launched, the goal was to "quickly grow in the Spanish CS:GO scene and secure spots at important international tournaments," but the team struggled to make their mark against the top Iberian organizations at local events, remaining in the shadows of Movistar Riders and SAW, and against teams fighting to make a name for themselves in the European scene.

Case played several Snow Sweet Snow and Spring Sweet Spring regional qualifiers, but made it only once to the main event, where they were knocked out in 16-18th place with a 1-3 record. The Brazilian squad briefly peaked at No. 66 in the world ranking in May before taking a nosedive outside of the top 100 teams, where they now sit.

Along with the benching of their current team, Case have also announced that the creation of a new project is already underway and stated that news regarding the incoming roster should be made public within the coming weeks.
