PeRRy: "We are prepared"

We sat down with The Elder Gods veteran Mircea "PeRRy" Predut ahead of his team's play-off encounter with fnatic.

The Romanian side finished on top of their group with a perfect 3-0 record but have earned an early showdown with fnatic after the Swedish squad placed behind wNv.cn in Group B.

Mircea "PeRRy" Predut admits that TeG were hoping to meet wNv instead of fnatic in the Round of 16, but has reiterated that his team will be looking for a win.

"We played our group thinking that if we took first place we would play wNv, who I think we have a better chance of winning against, and finding out that fnatic had placed second of their group was a big disappointment for us, because, of course, who wants to meet fnatic," he told HLTV.org.

"We are prepared, mostly mentally, and maybe we can win one map or maybe advance if we play well. We go into this match thinking we can beat them, because otherwise there is no point in playing a game, we know they are the better team but who knows?

"They have no idea about our playing style, maybe we can surprise them and do some good moves. Our goal was to finish first in the group, we did that, now we have nothing to lose."

Predut added it was no surprise for him that TeG finished at the top of Group E after k23 had decided to make changes to their roster, admitting, however, he did not expect to beat esq.win by such a big margin.

"We were surprised to beat the Koreans that easily and we were very happy to beat k23 on de_nuke, when we found out k23 had changed two players we knew we would take the first place in the group," Predut concluded.
