BLAST Premier Fall groups revealed

The groups, schedule and opening matchups for BLAST Premier Fall have been announced.

The event, which is set to kick off on Thursday, September 16, will feature 12 teams in three best-of-three double-elimination group brackets, with the top-two teams of each group progressing to the BLAST Premier Fall Final, taking place on LAN in late November. Each group will run consecutively, starting with Group A.

Group A features Danish giants Astralis taking on Evil Geniuses in the first game of the group, with Vitality vs. Liquid coming later. We will then see G2 face off against MIBR to open Group B, before Ninjas in Pyjamas line up against BIG. The final group features Natus Vincere vs. OG, the latter fresh off their 5-0 romp through their ESL Pro League group, and FaZe vs Complexity.

Teams will be battling it out for a spot at the Fall Final

The competitors will be battling it out for the lion's share of a $150,000 prize pool, as well as qualification for the BLAST Premier Fall Final. The teams who do not manage to grab a qualification spot at this event will get a second chance at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown later this year.

It promises to be a competitive event, with seven of the 12 teams attending currently residing inside the top 10 of the HLTV rankings.

Gambit isn't a BLAST partner team and these Groups events are partner-only, they'll 100% be invited to the BLAST Showdown as they always have

This partner teams bullshit is so unfair... I guess they will be invited afterwards anyway.. But Ence or FPX or Forze deserves much more a invite than MIBR , EG

If astralis wont look good than it really is over for them. After their short EPL run they said it was tough because they didnt have enough time to practice with the new player and so on. Now they have no excuse.

Is it because faze loses everytime or just tired of this match up. For me it's like I don't want teams playing against each other everytime

Because of the seedings decided by the participating teams.

The teams participating in the event seed everyone from 1-11, and then the teams are distributed to the group according to their seedings, like teams with a higher seed will be against a team with a lower seed.
