Viborg Vipers qualify for DH Winter

The Danish qualifier for DreamHack Winter concluded this Saturday, seeing Viborg Vipers victorious in the final against Cph Chiefs.

Staged at Boomtown LAN center in Copenhagen, the Danish qualifier had six teams showing up, all wanting to grab a hold of the first place, allowing them access to DreamHack Winter.

Main candidates to win the spot was Spirit of Amiga and Roskilde Ravens, but none of the two made it to the Grand Final. Both teams were eliminated in the semi-finals, seeing Viborg Vipers and Cph Chiefs face each other in the Grand Final.

First map of the Grand Final was over quick, as Viborg Vipers clinched a 16-2 score on dust2. Moving to second map nuke, Cph Chiefs was able to put up a better fight, but still not enough to defeat Viborg Vipers. Winning nuke with a 16-14 score, Viborg Vipers got access to DreamHack Winter, joining likes of SK, fnatic, EG, mTw and more.

there's plenty of good teams: H2K Gaming SK Gaming EG Millenium Power Gaming coL mTw MYM and besides that teams like Oslo Lions PGS Begrip k1ck and possibly Viborg Vipers could all upset someone plus there's still 2 more invites to come, which i'd bet an arm on would be the WCG finalists Fnatic and AGAiN

loool nothing K1ck can actually upset someone, if they actualy play c.s 1.6 and stop thinking on there grilfriends, our some other mather like WORK. So don't count k1ck out....if you see k1ck real playing you will be some what "stupid". And i'm not a fan-boy i'm symple making a remark, that even if they could not pass group stage they can put some team greath a run for there money.

ok....i will give you that. But they try, and they love the game. They don't win nothing because they are consider a mid-grade ranking team. Actually i never see a team from bosnia playing outside from bosnia. Whats the biguest team in Bosnia, i'm asking because i don't know???

Good that you agree :) They should try, of course, and play because they like the game, but they should never be considered as favorites for big tour like this, it's just unrealistic. Everyone should have their favorite, but also should try and be realistic sometimes :) P.S. Best team in Bosnia is eu4ia and if you are following CS you should have seen them many times on WCG for example. Not this time, cuz there were no quals, and this isn't rich country as you know so they can't attend tours abroad.

why do you say the will never won anything outside portugal? everybody can see that their results are getting better tournament by tournament, u don't like Portugal, that's a fact, and because of that u need to be blind? don't talk about what u don't even know. you can say now: "one more fanboy". I do like Portugal, but don't like unrealistic people in CS and in general ;) k1ck will never win major CS event, and you'll be able to see that in 10 days or so.

Most of these teams are amateur, there's not big amount of teams that are professional nowadays, most of them have to think about social life and work.

Faggan couldn't play and they therefore used noas instead, i do not know why he wasn't able to play. We met sydsvenskan in the first match and yeah it was not a close match(16-8 and 16-5), but the danish player zarnix did well. :)
