Vitality remain undefeated in IEM Fall Group C

The Frenchmen went 3-0 following a convincing win over OG, while Sprout and MAD Lions lost their third consecutive match.

Vitality have taken the lead in IEM Fall Group C as the only undefeated team after three rounds. OG, ENCE, and Dignitas are now tied for second place, with all three sitting on 2-1 records, while MAD Lions and Sprout have been locked out of playoffs contention at 0-3 each.

Both MAD Lions and Sprout are now on the brink of elimination from the tournament outside of the points, as each would need to win both of their remaining matches and other results to go their way to enter tiebreaking matches for third place. A placing outside of the top three would eliminate both from contention for a spot at the Major.

It was a comfortable victory over OG on Mirage that pushed the Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire-led squad to the top of the group for the time being, as Vitality have continued to confirm their status of the main favorites in Group C.

With the remaining two matches pitting them against ENCE and Dignitas, the chances of a Major qualification look promising for the current No. 3 team in the world, who currently sit fifth in the Regional Major Ranking.

Things are heating up below them in the group, however, with ENCE and Dignitas joining OG just below the favorites with two victories each.

Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer and company defeated MAD Lions in the third round in a match where Jakub "⁠kuben⁠" Gurczyński's team looked more competitive compared to a tough day one and two but ultimately couldn't match up against ENCE's defense on Mirage spearheaded by Olek "⁠hades⁠" Miskiewicz and Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi.

Dignitas came out on top against Sprout in an encounter that at first looked like a walk in the park for the Swedes, as they raced to a 8-0 lead on Inferno, but saw Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg's team have to sweat for the victory in the end after Sprout recovered from the poor start.
