PGL Major Stockholm 2021 Challengers StageMovistar Riders, BIG claim wins and go 1-0 in Challengers Stage
The Spanish and German sides both took wins on Nuke in their opening matches of the Swiss stage.
BIG were able to hold off against Entropiq, while on the B stream Movistar Riders disposed of the Renegades as the action in Stockholm continues on day one.
The Germans managed to stay composed throughout the close match that ended in a 16-13 victory, meanwhilen the Australians were unable to find an answer for Movistar Riders and Alejandro "mopoz" Fernández-Quejo Cano as they struggled to find their feet until the late rounds of the map.
BIG managed a a respectable six-round T-half but Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz and Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch struggled to get into the game early. Instead, it was Nicklas "gade" Gade who made the difference for BIG, keeping them alive as the rest of the team warmed up.
After the switch, Entropiq were mostly unsuccessful at cracking the German defenses and slowly lost their half-time lead. tabseN came back into it in the second half as his team took control and denied the Russian side any chances to get back into the game as they closed out with a 16-13 victory.

Movistar Riders did not have an ideal start on Nuke as their Aussie opposition took an early lead in the first half, but an overall sloppy performance saw many rounds slip away from Renegades and the Spanish team capitalized. Leading 9-6 at the half, Movistar Riders extended their lead to 14 rounds before the Australians could reply.
By the time individuals like Alistair "aliStair" Johnston and Simon "Sico" Williams were coming alive to win rounds for their team, the Spaniards were too far ahead and a couple of mistakes saw the Aussies lose out on Nuke 16-13.
