PGL Major Stockholm 2021Legends Stage round 1 ends with NIP and Astralis victories
The two Scandinavian teams join the 1-0 group at the Major after taking down MOUZ and FURIA, respectively.
Two similar games closed out the first half of the day as favorites took big leads on the defensive side of Inferno and closed out the game after some T-side problems.
Nicolai "device" Reedtz and Hampus "hampus" Poser displayed some fearless and aggressive Counter-Strike as Ninjas in Pyjamas crushed MOUZ's offensives on Inferno, cruising their way to a 12-3 lead. What looked like it was going to be a stomp turned on its head as David "frozen" Čerňanský, Christopher "dexter" Nong, and Robin "ropz" Kool started showing up, chaining rounds together for the European side. Unfortunately, some unforced errors were made by MOUZ and hampus' squad capitalized on them, taking the win 16-12.

Astralis also managed a strong CT half, 10-5 on Inferno against FURIA. The Brazilian side struggled to break through as the tip of their spear, aggressive IGL Andrei "arT" Piovezan, struggled to get anything done in the opening duels. Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato and Yuri "yuurih" Santos stepped up after the switch to provide some resistance, but they were outmatched by Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth (1.44 rating) who provided a key late-game clutch.
