PGL Major Stockholm 2021FURIA beat Entropiq to secure Champions Stage spot

FURIA have secured a top-8 finish at the PGL Stockholm Major after defeating Entropiq 2-1. The Brazilians came into the series with a 2-1 record after taking victories from Liquid and MOUZ. Worries over their form coming into the tournament seem to dissipate as they set their sights on the quarter-finals.
Aleksei "NickelBack" Trofimov and co. drop to the 2-2 pool and have one last chance to reach the playoffs after today's defeat. Entropiq has shown some great form this tournament, taking down Liquid and Gambit in the Legends Stage following a 3-1 promotion from the Challenger Stage.
It was a map to forget for Entropiq as they only stole six rounds from FURIA despite winning both pistol rounds on Vertigo. The Brazilian's aggression and firepower were too much for Entropiq to handle and could only watch as FURIA locked the CT side with ten consecutive rounds. Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo led the way with 27 kills across the map to end it 16-6.
The early rounds of Nuke were not promising for the CIS squad as FURIA seemed comfortable on their own map pick, giving Entropiq a competitive first half on the offense. Aleksei "El1an" Gusev was on his best form and was crucial in edging the CT side 8-7. Vladislav "Krad" Kravchenko came alive in the second half, spearheading a dominant T side for Entropiq that rapidly closed the map 16-8.
FURIA played a solid defense on Ancient with Yuri "yuurih" Santos really shining for the Brazilians as they led 9-6 at halftime. Entropiq looked better after switching sides as Krad again came alive in the second half, producing several key frags for the CIS squad to try to tip the game's balance in their favor. However, a 1v3 clutch from VINI secured the map for FURIA, 16-12, and the series 2-1.
