Fragbite.com understands that fnatic member Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund was denied the chance to play for mTw during DreamHack Winter.
The Swedish news-portal reports in an interview with mTw member Martin "trace" Bang that mTw had originally aimed to borrow Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund to fill in for Christoffer "Sunde" Sunde at DreamHack Winter.
Alesund was however not allowed to play for mTw during DreamHack Winter, with Bang indicating his contract to be the reason. The Danish squad earlier today announced that they would be using the former AndThenSome member Daniel "anizz" Aniff for the tournament, possible a plan b after being denied to use Alesund.
It was not the love that stopped Alesund
Fragbite.com even reports that Alesund will possible participate at DreamHack Winter with the Swedish team Coldfrag, who were drawn in the same group as mTw. It remains to be seen whether Alesund will play, as neither side have commented on this.

Their editor in chief acts like a 12 year old when you talk to him, they do not seem to care one bit about copyright of photos, and they have no respect what so ever for the work of other sites out there, e.g. they copy every HLTV ip we post on to their own site, no links or anything.. And that is just the stuff I have experienced over the last couple of weeks.

Yeah but one man is not the whole organisation, right? Corret me if Im wrong, but to me it also seem like Sam is kind of stopping the eSports of growing since more people visit SK-Gaming's website than Fnatic's. Remember that Mymym, Begrip etc arent allowed to interview cArn and the crew. However, it does not really bother me since HLTV is where I hang out. Welcome to my crib! lol

Uhm, their editor in chief has been granted his power by the management, the way they act I can easily understand fnatic being reluctant to give any interviews, and really, if fnatic does not want to give interviews to the sites that have teams too I understand them perfectly fine, the whole notion that a team should also run a newssite is pretty stupid as there is no way they can be independent..

True, true. But I dont really know how much money SK makes, but I guess they make more due to ads and stuff on their website, yea? Maybe thats why they are taking the whole situation so personal.

From what I've read (Nix0ns blogs, interviews) i came to teh conclusion that Sam does like mTw. I remember reading that he wants to meet up with mTw and have dinner etc when they've been in Dubai/Chengdu.

nah, I'm pretty sure Sam has no problem with the mTw guys.
there IS a thing with SK though, you're right, and there have been for quite some time actually. not about their players of course, it's about the management.
I think sponsors are simply a huge deal at this level, plus gtr's superstar status and stuff...

Well no, mTw got sponsors that may be direct rivals to fnatics sponsors and thus it's very understandable. I mean, how glad do you think fnatics sponsors would be if they saw one of fnatics players representing one of their biggest rivals on the market?
Coldfrag on the other hand is not a real organisation but instead an association based on a thing called SVEROK whom they receive money from by people registering on their website, which means.. they barely got any sponsors at all.

fnatic is great but we have sk and mym instead ... sure their absence is controversy but still , sk and mym have already beat them so at least we have 2 good teams that couldn't assist to WCG representing Sweden here
mouz + alternate + WMF are no doubt great teams but they've been on a slump lately and don't perform really well so their participations imo wouldn't really be necessary actually
uckrainian teams have potential but not that great of teams so let's not overrate them plz ...
having said that , I still believe DHW could have been greater with some Uckrainian/Russian teams and some Chinese teams . Besides, we dont have 2 of the 3 best teams (fnatic & the golden five Polish guys) and the last one with kind of 3 stand-ins (mTw) . But it would be absurd to say that DH winter = 0 LAN as you comment

actually, that's not the coldfrag lineup, at all. that was just for a small LAN in stockholm with around 200 people called hazardlan. MYM are attending dreamhack with their normal lineup and coldfrag = Laget which means Zyppe, pronax, lidde, BARBARR and Xizt. (no, get_right will despite everything not be playing at dreamhack)

that's a good thing and a bad thing. good, because bringing him in would have had the same effect as when he and gux played with h2k at dreamhack summer, and that's a bit boring to see always the same teams winning; bad because gtr's style in mTw would have been interesting to watch
