Heroic send Liquid home and earn a spot in the lower-bracket final

The North American team's dreams were crushed after a very close series.

Liquid have been eliminated from BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021 after falling to HEROIC 1-2. Liquid's veterans proved their worth on LAN with a comeback on Overpass to take the early lead in the series before being unable to seal the deal on Nuke. A classic decider on Inferno closed the series with Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller's team coming up on top.

HEROIC have secured a top-four finish in Copenhagen but before they are able to move any further they will face a red-hot Astralis in the lower bracket final at 19:30 . The winner of the match will get one last chance to reach the grand finals, playing the loser of Natus Vincere vs Vitality in the consolidation match.

HEROIC thrived on the defensive side of Overpass, taking the early advantage after converting the pistol and comfortably dealing with Liquid's bland T side rounds. Martin "⁠stavn⁠" Lund turned up to play, ending the 10-5 half at the top of the scoreboard with 20 frags.

It was a completely different story after switching sides. Despite losing the second pistol and going 5-12 down the North Americans kept their composure and got to work. Powered by Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski, Liquid strung together an incredible eleven-round winning streak to flip the game on his head and take the first map home 16-12.

Moving to their own pick of Nuke the Danes needed a good start on the offense to stay alive in the match and they delivered. HEROIC took the third consecutive pistol round and converted a couple of crucial force buys to guarantee a 9-6 halftime lead. A short-lived Liquid resurgence after moving to the CT side almost secured a North American sweep of the series but cadiaN began finding the impact necessary to keep his team in the game and force the decider 16-13

Inferno lived up to its reputation as a great decider map. The Danes took the early advantage before a Michael "⁠Grim⁠" Wince ace stopped the opponents' momentum and put Liquid on the scoreboard. The North Americans continued with their poor record against force buys this series, conceding one on round 12 which guaranteed HEROIC the half 8-7.

Liquid began the second half on the front foot after the second pistol, taking an 11-8 lead and seemingly in full control of the game before a failed push in banana put a stop to that. HEROIC strung together six in a row, topping it off with an incredible call on round 27 which allowed the Danes to convert a 3v5 to de facto win the match.
