Power Gaming will be using a standin for World Esports Masters, but it will not be to replace Niko "naSu" Kovanen, as the doctors have given him green-light for China.
We earlier this week reported that Power Gaming might be forced to use a standin for the upcoming World Esports Masters even in China, as Niko "naSu" Kovanen had been infected with the H1N1 virus. Kovanen has however been given the all clear for China by the doctors and will be able to travel with his team to Hangzhou, Managing Director Ben Woodward explains:
"naSu has been given the all clear by the doctors to attend, he's over the worst and is still resting."
Unfortunately this won't allow Power Gaming to use their usual starting-five, as Joona "natu" Leppänen won't be able to go after all, due to work commitments.
"We're finally booked up for WEM! Unfortunately we've had to take a stand-in for the event to replace natu. natu has real life commitments that he cannot change, he's got a family wedding to attend and has prior work commitments which cannot be altered. Former cc// & roccat player contE will be replacing natu for this event. We're obviously disappointed to be losing natu, but we couldn't think of a better replacement for him", Woodward told HLTV.org
Woodward is still excited about attending World Esports Masters, but also state that it is sad they won't be able to bring Leppänen to the event.
"We're obviously disappointed to be losing natu, but we're all too aware of contEs talent, he's a great replacement", he noted.
Power Gaming will for World Esports Masters have following lineup:
Juuso "contE" Sajakoski Max "ruuit" Aspe Samu "plastE" Aalto Tino "tihOp" Puumala Niko "naSu" Kovanen
World Esports Masters will take place 12-20th of December in the city of Hangzhou. HLTV.org will be in China to cover the entire event, so stay tuned for much more regarding the tournament and its teams.

YES thank god, this is the best lineup you could make in finland atm (bar maybe jigetus instead of tihop).
but conte/ruuit/plaste/nasu = by far the best 4 players in finland :D

But the fact is that they've tried putting their 5 best players together before, and it didn't work out with just 5 sick fraggers. natu has been really important, he has brought a different style back to the Finnish scene, or at least PG. :)

you meant cinte or natu.I think natu.cause I love the way conte moves in to tha map going solo while his teamates distract the oponennt.
the best player in the world to make a 4-1 attack.

conte for sure is one of the best aimers in finland, sadly natu probably is the best leader this team could have, and natu is a great strat caller as well.. conte by far is the best stand in they could hope for but its not the same without natu who's lately been playing really well.

I was wondering that too. conte was their igl with the previous try with that lineup so I guess he is that now too. Please correct me if I'm assuming wrong :-P

I thought of that too, contE used to lead this team (or a similar one) but maybe he isn't that familiar with the team and how they play atm, or maybe he is.. Who knows really.

Yes the lineup was exactly the same as now and conte was leading. I have watched their matches(if free time) since 2006 or something, and I think the rest of the players have not been leaders(at least officially in any pro lineup).
