Gambit, Heroic, VP, Entropiq round out EPL S15 team list

All 24 names taking part in the league's next season have been determined.

ESL has announced the four teams invited to ESL Pro League Season 15 based on its World Ranking: Gambit, HEROIC, Virtus.pro, and Entropiq. The quartet rounds out the full team list for the competition, which is set to run from March 9-April 10.

The league features 14 organizations currently partnered with ESL as part of the Louvre Agreement, which was recently bolstered by FURIA and BIG, with HEROIC set to join the list as the 15th member team in the latter half of 2022.

The other six spots were filled through the newly established EPL Conference stage and the 38th ESEA Premier season in Europe, North America, and Oceania, which will soon be renamed to the ESL Challenger League.

The main portion of the league is expected to take place in Malta as part of a long-term deal between ESL and the island country, though it is possible that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic could change the tournament organizer's plans.

those teams are dead tho. in this context it means a team that isnt going to be together anymore soon, and both tl and vita are confirmed to be making roster changes

I know that's usually what people mean by "dead", but it's hard to not see OG as dead in some way, given how poorly the second half of their year went. #50 kind of describes what I was getting at

Every single OG fan has regarded this team dead since the Mad Lions loss, extra dead since not qualifying for BLAST Finals and omega dead after potentially G2 taking Aleksib For a few people OG has been dead for months now already

That's kind of what I mean. The phrase "dead team" only has applied to teams that have imminent, definite roster shuffles, but it's hard to not see OG as "dead" in some way after how poorly the second half of their year went.

A project can die as well, like old Spirit, 100T in EXTREMUM, EG, ENCE and so on, these are all dead teams even if they don't make roster changes, now it just means roster changes coming in because there's so many at once with such important pieces being transferred across different teams, the dead projects are forgotten about and the focus is on the dead teams because of the excitement from new rosters
