PGL Major Antwerp Europe RMR team list set

The 32 teams that will compete at the two European RMRs have been decided.

The four PGL Major Antwerp Europe RMR Open Qualifiers and the Far East Russia Open Qualifier have come to an end, with all teams that will be competing at the two European RMRs in Bucharest, Romania, on April 17-24, having been decided.

The last teams to make it through the European open qualifiers were Eternal Fire, Sangal, fnatic, GamerLegion and Anonymo, while QUAZAR booked their spot through the Far East Russia qualifier.

fnatic finally made it to the EU RMR in their fourth try

The first team to secure their passage through the bracket in the final EU RMR open qualifier were none other than Eternal Fire, who beat the likes of Savage and HAVU on Saturday before taking out Nemiga and Anonymo on Sunday to book their ticket to Bucharest.

Turkish fans will also be happy to learn that the European mix under former Space Soldiers player Tugay "TuGuX" Keskin, Sangal, also made their way through the top 16 by beating Temperate before winning their best-of-three quarter-final series against the Danes of Tricked.

fnatic also prevailed in the qualifier’s quarter-finals after making quick work of Wisla Krakow in the round of 16, beating the Bulgarians of FATE in a hotly contested affair that went to twenty-nine rounds in the opening map and the full thirty in the last two, as Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson led the way with a 1.31 rating.

The last quarter-final match to end was the one pitting SKADE and GamerLegion, with both teams winning the other’s pick before going to a fought out Nuke that ended with a 16-13 victory for the Swedish-majority team. The standout player in the series was Mihai "iM" Ivan, who ended with a 1.24 rating across all three maps and 1.37 in the Nuke decider.

The last team to qualify through the fifth place decider bracket was Anonymo, who cleared a comeback against FATE in the semi-final match before securing their berth by beating Tricked in the bracket’s final, taking Mirage 16-9 and Nuke 16-5.

The Far East Russia qualifier with a spot up for grabs at the EU RMR also ended on Sunday, with Vladimir "la3euka" Shurygin’s QUAZAR making it through the semi-finals and final with 2-0 victories over WHYKICK and HOTU.

Why did Fnatic qualify with poizon? That doesn't make sense cuz they just brought in Regali. And Brollan wasn't there either. I assume it is because he is going to NiP like the rumors suggested.

Regali couldn't play so they had to bring poizon in as a sub Brollan isn't playing RMR because of the roster lock, if he wants to play for NIP at the major

So fnatic has no chance of signing new players? Has to qualify for the major with peppzor and regali ( with poizon as sub)?

I think fnatic can sign free agents, but I'm not 100% sure how the roster lock works Edit: the RMR rulebook makes it sound like fnatic will have to play with a roster of Krimz, mezii, Alex, peppzor and regali, and poizon will be the substitute. So Brollan can't play for fnatic at the RMR, nor can any new signings

I don't think so. Peppzor is just a sub. They can also sign free agents like jks poizon etc. Brollan can also play if he doesn't join nip , though that's unlikely. I don't think fnatic will stick with regali , he just isn't ready yet nor is he that good

Nah, they have to use the same 5 they qualified with. But they can still use one sub.

How come group A is way more stacked than group B?

Because the people who drew the groups are idiots..... instead of making groups in a way every game is awesome and important, basically no one will watch group B uz everyone knows who is gonna qualify. (And nobody come at me with the "the selection is randomised" cuz it just isnt)

No it's isn't random nor drawn. It's seeded based on qualis results.
2022-03-07 09:40

Pretty sure it's based on the last major results.

I think since the RMR A gives more legend spots maybe. How many legend spots does EU get? 7? And the NA just 1? If EU get 7 spots then they will be split 4 and 3 meaning that RMR A needs to be more stacked then B since more legend spots available.

Yes and also it's based on results of last Major. It's really transparent, you can find it in Major rulebook.

Because they can't compete on EU servers? F.e. Vladivostok is further from Kazakhstan's capital Nur-Sultan than Nur-Sultan from Warsaw - for well over 1500km. Edit: It's actually even closer from Nur-Sultan to freakin' London than to Vladivostok There were 18 spots up for grabs anyway for the usual portion of the qualifiers, so everyone deserving got in. Can't see the issue with giving them a chance (well, if not for the Ukraine invasion thing but it's not really the subject here).

this is the first time major giving a slot for FE Russia if they fuck up we won’t see Far East Russia qualifier anymore give them a chance by the way, "Far East Russia" is incorrect name it should’ve been called "Rest of Russia". People from this region isn’t european nor asian (ping-wise)

Also: the name is incorrect because teams from Moscow and eu Russia participated in this qualifier. Why? cuz they thought it'd be ez af. They got beaten up tho by siberian teams Yeah "Rest of Russia" is dumb i agree. but that’s not "Far east" for sure

I'd expect most names, but AVE, Sangal & Anonymo (+Qazar but for obvious reasons being no competition on FE Russia qualifier I'll skip over them) look so out of place here. Wouldn't ever guess one of them qualifying. Still, good to have at least some Polish representation at the event. Wisła really disappointed here :c

I dont feel bad for them, Maybe don't lose to B8 or SAW then, they had plenty of opportunities. That B8 loss especially, it was obvious that they wont qualify, ane K23 would have won vs AVE for sure. I know BO1 are random, but they are just some that you have to win
