The former pro player and now co-owner and Chief Gaming Officer of fnatic joins the show to talk about the issues the CS:GO roster faced, the departures of Ludvig "⁠Brollan⁠" Brolin and Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield from the active lineup, the ESL Pro League performance, and the impact partner teams are having on the scene.

You'd have to be pretty retarded to think that the map was intended to be played like that. When you find an obvious unintended interraction you should report it not abuse it. The same applies in every game, you get banned for bug abuse. You could also see through textures directly into T spawn which was also clearly a bug, unless you think it was intended by whoever made the map that CTs could see through walls.

I agree carn was verbose and by controlling all the conversation made the first 35 min I watched boring. But as someone who tries to understand the sport from a business lens, was interesting to get an insiders take. Like Smooyas 3 month temp contract, and the additional ‘long term’ signing which had lots of opt outs. Aka Smooya doesn’t demand much as a player so has no leverage. The extreme soul searching explanation on why the need to build international roster: handicapped player pool limits market potential. I didn’t know NIP is part Chinese funded. Didn’t catch the rest but these type of nuggets made it worth decoding homeboi.

i strongly disagree that league is the best esports. i play league of legends regularly and absolute hate their esports structure, the splits, the partner teams system, the separated leagues are so boring to watch, and when worlds starts i just dont have any interest because i dont even know what players or teams are good and there is no point for me of watching it. while in CS GO, i haven't played the game for years, but i love the esports structure, the tournaments, the majors, the minors, this tier 2 tournaments are all enjoyable, but when i see MIBR with 5 new players ranked 50#, playing with a stand in vs tier 1 because they are a partner team is just nonsense, or when i see EG playing a super important tournament and they literally come last the last 6 tournaments, half of the team is thinking and playing valorant on stream without even caring about CS GO is just ridiculous.

This was a really good episode!! Sure, cArn said alot without really making points, or atleast they where hard to follow. But he also says alot that explains the thinking of organisations and there points of view. For me, who is interested in the running of orgs and the CSGO eco-system, this was probably one of the most interesting episodes! Much better than Carlos atleast!

Really didn't like the disrespect shown by spunj or from the others towards the guest. Not justified or necessary. cArn was perfectly honest about their recent 3 months being disappointing (despite proving the doubters wrong at EPL), explained the reasons for bringing in smooya and benching him as kneejerk decisions and a stop gap solution. Also made good points about fnatic taking CS as serious as possible with investment etc. Sure, cArn talked alot and didn't stay on topic, but he's a legend and clearly, has alot of knowledge and experience Spunj using hltv confirmed to cry about some supposed personal offence is just pathetic, cArn still had a good point and don't be butthurt because his opinion differs from your own. If you bring a guest on to talk down to them and humiliate, where you have almost full control of the forum, then you won't be getting many prestigious guests in future. Normally spunj rants are entertaining and serve the community / esport that we love, but this was just embarrassing I absolutely love hltv confirmed, but this episode felt like one of the hunden ones, but entirely unjustifiably; unpleasant to listen to and had the wrong vibe. Fair play to cArn for keeping his cool. Imagine if you 3 would have tried that with Carlos, he would have ripped your heads off and disconnected within a few minutes
