Heroic victorious in Pinnacle Winter Series 3

The Danes cap off the tournament in impressive fashion and secure a slot at LAN Sweet LAN 2022.

The third Pinnacle Winter Series has concluded and seen HEROIC emerge victorious after defeating fellow Danish team Copenhagen Flames in two straight maps in the event's grand finals.

With the tournament under their belt, the roster led by Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller secured $40,000 in prize money and a guaranteed spot in the quarter-finals of the LAN Sweet LAN which will take place in Belgrade, Serbia. The event was slated for April 2022, but HLTV.org has been informed by the organizer that it has been pushed back until later in the year, with October being a likely target.

cadiaN and his squad continue to impress

HEROIC showed their dominance and proved why they are ranked the fifth best team in the world, beating both Apeks and ECSTATIC 2-0 on their way to the final, with three out of the four maps ending in dominant victories for the Danish powerhouse.

Their success in this tournament adds to what has been nothing short of an impressive run of form by the team. They've finished 3rd-4th in a number of big tournaments such as PGL Major Stockholm and BLAST Premier Fall Final, and although the Danes dipped at the end of the year, they added another top-four finish at the recently concluded IEM Katowice in an impressive recovery.

At the moment, it is still unclear as to what will happen to the tournament spot of ex-FunPlus Phoenix, as their CS:GO team has disbanded. As it stands, the teams confirmed to be attending the $250,000 LAN Sweet LAN are:

It isn't super impressive, but i guarantee a lot of tier1 teams would drop some maps along the way against the likes of cph flames, ecstatic etc. These teams are deadly online unless its against alpharoic

must say heroic is just an insane good team, however they shouldve lost the map vertigo against Ecstatic, bit of luck maybe. Inferno couldve been close too since it is a very good map for Ecstatic. though their win was deserved.

Niko is the solution with a problem. He is clearly too serious, and has absolutely if humor at all. It would help him a lot if he took a more lighthearted approach. But I guess he thinks he is perfect as he denies to get help from a sport psych. Arrogant fool.

Yes. Gambit is a good example of why these tournaments are important. They grinded these for 1,5 years and steadily got better :()

so they can qualify to lan sweet lan and so tier 2 teams get some good opportunity…? you say this like every tier 1 teams destroys every tier 2 tournament, that is just not true so many tier 1 teams have bummed out in past pinnacle tourneys

Don't forget to get some of the heroic players the MVP award as you did to Shiro in V4 Future Sports Festival 2021. That event had also only 1 team in Top 10.
