$250,000 Roobet Cup with several top teams announced

Relog continues to expand its circuit with bigger teams and prize money.

Relog Media and cryptocurrency casino Roobet have announced a new online cup featuring the likes of Gambit, FaZe, and Virtus.pro. The event, which is scheduled for late June, is set to feature 16 teams battling for a share of the $250,000 prize pool, the largest posted by an online Relog tournament.

Seven teams have been confirmed so far, with FaZe, Gambit, Virtus.pro, Copenhagen Flames, Entropiq, MOUZ, and Imperial receiving invites to the group stage.

The event is set to feature two top five teams

The format will use a standard best of three GSL group stage, with two teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs themselves will be single elimination, with the wining team taking home the majority of the prize money at $150,000.

The group stage is scheduled to begin on June 22, followed by the playoffs on June 27-30. Further details about additional invited teams and potential qualifiers has yet to be announced, but the organizers have revealed a set of "target teams" they are trying to get to participate, featuring the likes of Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis and HEROIC.
