PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Americas RMRFURIA secure Major spot with 3-0 record, Leviatan eliminated
The Andrei "arT" Piovezan-led team join MIBR as the second undefeated team ahead of their first-place decider.
FURIA have secured the second spot at the PGL Major Antwerp after their victory over Complexity, which made them the second team to go 3-0 at the Americas RMR. The Brazilian squad made quick work of their matches against Leviatan and Isurus prior to the match against Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's Complexity, where they earned a hard fought 2-0 series win and 3-0 overall record.
arT and his squad will face off against fellow Brazilian team MIBR on Thursday to determine which of the two will earn a spot in the Legends stage of the upcoming Major in Belgium.
On the other hand, Leviatan lost a close match against TeamOne in the second elimination series at the Americas RMR. Both maps went down to the wire, and in the end Alencar "trk" Rossato's crew took their first win at the RMR, keeping their Major dreams alive.
The first match was played out by Leviatan and TeamOne in a series which would see one team get eliminated. The two sides kept it close throughout the first map of Inferno, playing almost equally on both T and CT side. In the end, TeamOne were able to take a 1-0 lead after a narrow 16-13 win.
Map two was Mirage, where an even closer battle between the two sides ensued. The score was dead even after 30 rounds, with both teams even securing 8 rounds apiece on their respective CT sides. In OT, TeamOne were able to stop a potential comeback from Leviatan to stay in contention for a Challengers spot at the Major in Belgium.

Over at the match between two undefeated teams, we saw FURIA overcome Complexity in two consecutive maps to ensure their slot in the Major. The Brazilian side took their opponents' map pick of Ancient after completely shutting them down on their CT side. They wasted no time as André "drop" Abreu led his team to a comfortable 16-7 victory on the first map.
The second map was a bit closer between the two, as Complexity fought back late in the game to try and force overtime. Their run was ultimately repulsed by arT and company, as FURIA were able to get their 16th and final round win to take both the map and the series for themselves.
