Round 2 matchups set, Astralis to face ENCE in day one headliner

The second-round matches will give us some thrilling games.

With the first round of games now over, we have seen G2 and Entropiq drop maps to underdogs, while most of the other games went in the way of the favorite teams.

Looking forward, teams in the 1-0 pool will be looking to build on their great start, with the stand out match of the round happening at 19:45 between Astralis and ENCE.

Aleksib will hope to put his team back on track

Some of the other more interesting games to follow will be G2 meeting Sangal in what should be a match to put the fourth best team in the world on a path to recovery and Ninjas in Pyjamas playing against Bad News Eagles, with the latter having the firepower to worry better teams as they have proved already.

They did but that's because they're the 4th 1-0 seed so they go against the 5th. They actually got a better draw than they would of if g2 and/or entropiq didn't lose. Third round on is when the draws will get really unfair.

I’m not saying it is easy, but you said it doesn’t get any easier, and any objective analysis would place nip as a better team than Entropiq. That said it is still a tough draw, only G2 would be worse.

I see no issues with it? It’s a fact that Niko teams are mentally unstable. They were never in a deep enough hole in this game for it be a factor.

You don't see anything with it? "G2 mentally unstable" because that's what you think so that's right, no insiders' info needed. "If Sangal get a good start, Niko will crumble and bring down the team with him." Thank you again for your expertise but Sangal had a good start (how good of how bad you want the start to be is on you, but by saying nothing it's just a guess. You can't say they had a bad start. SO yeah, like I said: This didn't age well.

You think the choko meme comes from nowhere? If you have followed Niko you would see that he doesn’t perform well if his team gets in a big hole, he starts beating him self up and can’t perform. And no, that doesn’t mean a 4-1 start or something silly, that is normal. It’s more like a 7-0 or something. I think maybe you need to age a bit to understand, instead of attempting lame punchlines on HLTV when they don’t even fit. If you look at the post just above I call G2 the best team in the 0-1 bracket. And the only way Sangal could win would be of a Niko tilt. Which would obviously need a lot bigger deficit than this game saw.

Oh wow, now I "need to age a bit". This coming from somebody who has no clue who I am, how old I am or how long I've been following CS. That just says a lot about how judgemental you are and how narrowminded you are when you have made your mind up about somebody. And I do not desire to discuss something with somebody who isn't open minded enough to understand that there's a difference between choking and being mentally unstable. FYI I know where the choko memes come from, but there's also plenty of times where he just carried his team even though they weren't performing. But as proven several times now your goal is to hate on Niko, have fun with that. I rather support the teams and players I like instead of hating on the ones I don't.

It was obviously a twist of words on the lame punchline you kept throwing. But sitting on HLTV throwing one liners where they don’t even fit (or at all) can hardly seem like a sign of maturity. Not like I made a prediction or said they would lose. Not performing well under pressure is being mentally unstable, from a sports psychology point of view, I’m not in the least implying that he is mentally unstable as a person in normal life. And I do not hate Niko at all, quite the opposite, so who is the narrow minded person making up their mind now?

Can I just point out real quick that it's just HLTV? Why are you being so defensive? It's like you feel the need to defend yourself and best case try to put it back on me. It's okay to have another opinion dude, don't get your panties in a bunch over it. I'm not throwing one liners, I just said what I thought, sue me for that if you want but whatever you think "if Sangal get a good start, Niko will crumble" is a prediction, Sangal did get a good start but NiKo didn't crumble, so you were wrong, accept it and move on. Not performing well under pressure is called stress, more importantly it's called being deceptive towards stress while being 'mentally unstable' is depression or being distracted. Stress needs a whole other approach than anything related to being mentally unstable. I do not have a professional degree in it but I'm a trainer in different sports so I know a thing or two about (sports)psychology. I'm also a professional in an industry where stress and (performance) anxiety is a big thing. I only said your goal is to hate on him, because you predicted what he would do and after that you kept defening your statement. I never said you hated him as a person. Read what you read and don't read into it what you want to read, if that makes sense. Now I'm done debating this, because it's a difference of opinion and you are entitled to yours as much as I am entitled to mine. Have a good one.

It is HLTV, but that doesn’t mean you have to drop to the low teen immaturity level of the average commenter, better use the age you are showing now to be one of the few trying to keep the level up. How is: “that didn’t age well” not a one liner? It’s a snide comment meant to humiliate or make fun at the other person’s expense. The fact that you after a short explanation also doubled down and repeated the snide comment is obviously the reason I went so “defensive”. When talking about a start that would be good enough to make a player tilt, I would obviously assume anyone understand I mean a lot more than pistol and conversion, but I shouldn’t expect that much and will remember to be extremely through next time so no one can come around after and “misinterpret” it.

It might be a joke for the one throwing it out, it is a demeaning way of basically saying “haha you are wrong/stupid” for the one receiving it. Which is also the way it is mostly used on this site. But yeah, let’s just forget this, I’m pleased to see an other grown up on this page who can actually have a conversation. Props.
