HR|TAFA: "Decision is not fair"

HellRaisers manager Taufiq "TAFA" Khidri says he sees no reason for his team to be given a default loss to mousesports in the Extreme Masters relegation stage.

The Ukrainian team were due to play against mousesports on Tuesday in the Extreme Masters European Championship relegation stage, but missed the match as the players were on their way home after competing in Arbalet Cup at the weekend.

Despite HellRaisers' attempts to have the match rescheduled, they were given a default loss as mousesports did not agree on playing later than initially planned as it would fall very close to the EPS Finals.

And Khidri has now declared that it was not his team's fault that they could not be online in time to play the match.

"Yesterday at 13:00 we received information about the match," he told HLTV.org "On this day the entire team flew from Stockholm to Kiev, and the players were on the trains (they live in different cities in Ukraine). Therefore, no one was able to check the e-mail.

"This game was very important to us and we are very disappointed that the organizers have deprived the audience from this match at such a crucial stage of the tournament."

After mousesports finished their group behind KerchNET, Khidri believes the Germans wished to avoid a new confrontation with a Ukrainian side, and has called on the community to support them.

"One gets the impression that mouz just do not want to play with us," he noted. "Throughout the season, we approached the game responsibly and always acted with dignity.

"In my opinion, the decision to give us a technical defeat is simply not fair. I hope that the international gaming community will support us."

Stay tuned to HLTV.org for full coverage of the Extreme Masters European Continental Finals.

hahaha guys you make me crazy. maybe in your countries rules are of little importance but all teams -don't matter from where they come- have to stand to the rules so you don't need to make a discussion out of it.. thats very pathetic :f

Yes. Rules are made if the situation is hard to solve with common sense. Not meaning they must be blindly obeyed in every situation. For example in this case it is clear that this is just cowardly action from mousesports(unless they have some really good reason not to postpone the match). I just cannot understand how can you even think like that.

they actually have good reasons 1. they are on vacations on monday e: and they are going to be in cologne on friday because of the eps finals, from where they obviously cant play. and every team got an e-mail on the 2nd december which says when the match is played. yesterday they recieved another email. 20minutes after the offical begin of the match markeloff came online and said that they cannot play.

if they didnt knew the game was on till yesterday , and they were really on trains , getting back home, then yeah they weren't able to attend this game... and german ppl who say "rules are rules", i just want to ask you one question : if mouiz attended arbalet, took their flight, weren't able to be here for the game and was disqualified, would you have said "rules are rules, they should have been here at time. gg HR, enjoy ur tournament"? i doubt so, you'll just have said it's an unfair decision. Think about it...and stop being that subjective

I'm not being subjective, I'm being objective. The match was scheduled (date and time) since December 3rd. Every team knew about the date and time of their games except HR who claim they were not emailed. There are two situations: 1- They got the email and they are lieing. Shame on them. 2- The organization forgot to email HR. Shame on the organization. Lack of responsability from HR knowing they were participating in a tournament and not trying to find out when they would play. None of the situations shames mouz, which had no fault whatsoever in the whole process. HR didn't show up to play the match, so mouz deserves the victory unless it's an organizational error (Not warning HR). If it was an organizational mistake, then the match should be replayed by the admins. As HR are blaming mouz and not the admins, I can only assume the admins did nothing wrong. If the admins did nothing wrong, and mouz obviously did nothing wrong, and things still went wrong, it's because HR did something wrong.

i totally understand what you wanna say, but let's forget about all this s*itty rules... mouz could just have said "okay no problem, let's play tomorrow same hour"...and i don't think mouz excuses from their manager are valable. they just didn't whant to take the risk, and decided to take this "gift", and whatever rule you'll point to me, i think it's a shame...

Of course they could, I agree with you. I just don't think choosing not to replay a game that was already played (they missed it for no valid reason) makes them, and I quote users from this website: "nerds" "stupid" "fuckshitnoobtarts" "etc.." HR|TAFA said "Decision is not fair". The only way the decision was not fair is if this was the admins' mistake. If so, mouz are not to be blamed, the admins are. That's my opinion ;)

They were not on their way home at the time of the match. They could have been responsible if they tried to find out when the match was going to be. Every team was aware of their matches one week prior to it, however HR only knew about it after it had started.

okey, rules are rules, but if whole cs scene knew they were at Arbalet Cup, they get info about match day before and they got planned travel back in day of match, isnt it quite unfair for them, because HR didnt have any realistic chance to get online, even if they really want to? It was just imposibble for them. Guys we are living in XXI century, we didn't find out teleports yet!

First of all.....they whare on train's, returning for a big tournament. Second i don't know mutch about trains in Ukrain but i belive the train does not have weireless connection. Third and don't trying to offend any germans, mouz as the lucky side, they are the most powerfull team in germany, now picture what could happen if the HR team win the match and put end to this miserebel year from mouz. In conclusion Mouz are affraid, yes they are afraid to lose there spot at the event hold by german companys.

actually the pathetic side in all of this is that mouz is simply avoiding to play when they are awarded the opportunity. its nothing about rules; the rules said that the match could be rescheduled if both teams agreed, yet mouz denied HR a fair chance and instead took the back door. what's respecting the rules in that? stop trying to find an answer because there isn't any other than mouz is avoiding getting eliminated (as its highly unlikely they would). gj mira on allowing a voice to HR!

The rules didn't make them loss the match. The rules say that if both teams agreed they could reschedule. So the rules said that mousesports could be cowards or have some sportsmanship and face them in a fair way.

LOL, they were not in the train at the time of the match, you better read the news. According to HR Johnta, they arrived 3 hours before the match started. I quote: "[we] came home 3 hours before match starts. Of course we were not checking the news at first time, so we found out we got game in 15 mins after it sould be started." He says they hadn't been warned about the match before it had already started. However the organization sent every team 2 emails warning about the date, one on the 3rd and the other on the 8th. Apparently the organization forgot HR on the first email, and they didn't read the second one. In addition, do you think it's responsible to be in a tournament and not knowing when the games will be played when every other team does? I don't. EDIT: Just because you asked be, no, I'm not fanatic for mouz, I don't even know mouz and I have never and never will support them in my whole life. I would support HR anytime the two teams would meet.

yes they did it 3 hours before ( and he is refering to the plain trip), so then they wnet by train to their homes ( wich is in many locals of the country). So is the same like you are in portugal and you arrive to Oporto at "x" time and you go by train to Coimbra and you will take 2 HOURS at least to do that way ! so have any point here? another way: "Yesterday at 13:00 we received information about the match,"(the FAQ not the players i suppose) he told HLTV.org "On this day the entire team flew from Stockholm to Kiev, and (then) the players were on the trains (they live in different cities in Ukraine). Therefore, no one was able to check the e-mail. i'm just assessing the situation

Ok, I'll try again. 1 - I am quoting HR Johnta: "We was in train after Arbalet Cup Ukraine and came home 3 hours before match starts." I see no reference to a plane here, but I do see a reference to a train right before saying they arrived 3 hours before the match started. 2 - "Yesterday at 13:00 we received information about the match,"(the FAQ not the players i suppose) he told HLTV.org "On this day the entire team flew from Stockholm to Kiev, and the players were on the trains. Therefore, no one was able to check the e-mail." Please read it again. Now read it once more. Now find the word match, war, game, whatever. Now realise there is no reference to the match in that entire quote. Now please understand he is refering to the time they received the email. They were in the planes(and afterwards in the train) at the time they received the email, so they didn't check it. Then, they got home 3 hours before the match started, but didn't check their emails, because that's not the thing you do after arriving from a long journey. 3 hours later, the match started. 20 minutes later they realised they had a match and missed it.

i loled at 2 hours from porto to coimbra at least. i do that that trip almost every every weekend, twice, and takes, at most, ~1hour.. on the subject, nevermind what this dude is saying, its completely wrong. against facts there are no arguments, if they didn't know they are gonna have game, there's absolutely no reason them to be disqualified imo..

I quote: "Apparently the organization forgot HR on the first email" Then why should HR be punished, what if ESL sent them the email first time and they had enough time to check their inbox...seems like a mistake from ESL's side.

What I meant by that is: If ESL didn't send them the email ESL claims to have sent, then why would they be complaining about mouz? If that had happened they would obviously complain about ESL and the fact they warned everyone else except them, don't you think so? However they are complaining about mouz's choice of not rematching, which to me seems nothing but fair.

OK let's do this in a formal matter. HellRaisers should have been able to reschedule the match even before they left for Sweden. Logical thinking. Mousesports is looking like the bad guys in this case, but their claim is perfectly fine. No one can argue against this as ESL rules are clealy stated and have always been like this. Of course they could be nice guys and sign for a rematch, but then again it's really up to them and this is just a simple win. And let it be said before I get smashed with "but mouz NOOBS!" and "you suck", I am rather a HR fan than a mousesports fan. :p

Well, then I guess you agree that Mouz's attitude is that they prefer a simple win instead of a tough and honorable match and that they give a rats as in sportmanship and that they can't be a bit nice to even give them a chance?

I agree with you in some points. ESL rules are not broken with this decision, so everything is legal and no1 need to insult ESL. Mouz COULD agree with rescheduling but they didn't wanted, so i think that was unfair. So we have logical situation here -> hardcore HR fans(like me, bad i'm a bit mannered) insulting MOUZ because of bad sportsmanship, so i'm not surprised with those comments you quoted.

Of course! But people have to understand it's a 100% up to mousesports. Why should they risk losing a match and advancing in the league? And Mousesports manager's claims are actually pretty decent. Again, I'd love to see HR play though.

"Hello everybody. I want to show our position briefly, since it indeed likely to have some incorrect information. On December 3, won every team played a part, the relegation of an email that was explicitly refer to when the game was to take place. Is therefore the 8. Dezember, 22 clock, has been recognized as a game event and each team has the right to insist on this appointment. Yesterday morning, all teams were given a further reminder e-mail with all details. Yesterday evening, I waited from 19.00 until 22.00 clock in the IRC to a member of Hellraiser. Clock at 22.20, then 20 (!) Minutes after the match should have been started, came markeloff online. I contacted him immediately and told him that would be for us no other date in question. We had suspended our extra training yesterday, although queue for us on the weekend already the EPS Finals. We also want such an important game like this not only receive either 1-2 days before the finals, especially since we will already be starting Friday in Cologne already. From Monday, it is one of our players leave, so we simply can not continue the match postponed. It is your own responsibility of HR to know about the important details of the Extreme Masters Intel modest. And since no one can tell me that they had no Internet access in Stockholm, while in the 'Inferno Online Internet Cafe' were. I'm sorry guys, but that is your own fault. Sad to see it go to this. Really gay decision on Mouz's part. A simple reschedule would have been fine and fair. They knew that time would be pushing it for all the HR members to be home so why not just move it to another day. I can't say I'm surprised ESL seems to always make really shitty decisions continuously. In the end Mouz will go no where in the EM finals because they are horrible and on the way out of pro CS. On the other hand its very sad to see this upcoming HR team get thrown down like that.

I think Hr management should write a petitionto ESL to justify this situation (not only according to the rules but in favour of esport and taking to account opinion of the community) And just want to find out a situation about informing Hr about the match. According to the information posted on readmore.de Hr was informed on 3 of December while Tafa declared ""Yesterday at 13:00 we received information about the match,"

Regardless of if they got the email or not they had travel plans which made it very difficult. mouz should suck it up and play the match. The only reason they didn't want to reschedule is because they are afraid they would lose not because it is close to the EPS finals.

the argument of mouz and the EPS finals isn't strong enough, other teams play already one day or two days after a tournament, so why can't they play one or two days before the tournament. Today (9.12.) would have been the perfect time to play the match (even three days before the eps finals).

big the fear at them, how they do not get out onto the European final, and their sponsor gets bored of their failure possibly, and they are fired.

I agree. mousesports took the opportunity to get a def-win by insisting on the rules. Sad decision for esports, especially in this crucial stage of a tournament. I hope HR get another chance to compete at the extreme masters, and its sad that another prejudice against germans ("rules are rules") seems to be proven right :(

As you're discussing a lot in here I created an account to c/p my post I already did on readmore: You can always discuss about "professionalism" and slogans like "rules are rules". I'd like to proof (and thats my point of view) that you're able to departure from the rules in special cases by quoting a little anecdote from 2005: "The Union of European Football Associations - UEFA's executive-commission decided concordantly in a tele-conference, that titleholder Liverpool FC will be able to start in the CL-qualification due to a "exceptionrule". (...) Liverpool only reached the 5th place in british Premier League and originally did not manage to achieve a start at the Champions League." (Opponent) Teams and Fans around the world appreciated and respected this step. I personally advocate for a rigorous interpretation of the system of rules at all. But if the rules sense and its keynote is questionable in an individual case, you should think of the possibility of taking an individual decision on it. Rules are never perfect. By the way, I'm not critizising mouz.

Not true, rules are made never to be forgotten. Badly devised rules have to be forgotten once in a while because they don't quite fulfill their initial goal.

With mousesports terrible results as of late im not really suprised they took the forfeit win, and while 'rules are rules' as many have stated, that doesnt stop the fact that its pretty lame by mousesports and unfair to HR, while also being disappointing for spectators/public who dont get to watch a great match :(

its lame, ok. but when it comes to gaming, everything which is the most effectiv, is lame. it doesn't even matter which game. in counterstrike people say that using the russian duck is lame or surfing on the nuke pipes is lame. in warcraft3 playing orc is lame..... and there is still the fact that mouz was ready to play but hr didn't appear. after 20minutes markeloff came online, puri contacted him and told him that they are not able to play on another date because of the eps finals and because of vacations which start on monday. i can fully understand why mouz took the def win. and i think under these conditions every team would have taken it. btw. i just remembered sk where they did not allow the inactiv snajdan or fisker to play for lag blank on a dreamhack because of contracts..so blank couldn't even participate.

Guys don't get pathetic. Lets face the facts. The first and the biggest Mistake was made by the HR management. They got a Mail from the ESL (if the write down the correct Mail Addresses in the Team Profile) on 2nd December and didnt contact mouz or the esl for another Game Date. Then, yesterday one HR player shows up 20 Minutes to late(match stats @ 22:00) and asks for another Date. The reaction from mouz was not very fair, but they are not the one to blame here. If they in the middle of practice for the EPS Finals Germany and they just have no time to play until Friday, its badluck for HR. HR has alot of time to reschedule the Gamedate, but just didnt do it.

Oh i didnt expect this from team like mousesports, but this is not big suprise imo they have there Tixo which imo dont deserve to play there because he always want to win and when he lose some match he always act like the biggest idiot in the world, otherwise like everyone SPORTSMANSHIP they should play this match not destroying the whole conception and they should respect every team and watch the facts that are going on around them. The HR guys are didnt made to come on time, but everything is going on... Imo they should respect that and play the match like every sportmanship would do. P.S lame move from mousesports avoindig match with default win with such a good team As HellRaisers is SHIT Imo. P.P.S What the fuck are u talking about RULES guys? are u retarted?!?!?!?!??!?! THERE ARENT ANY RULES TO RESPECT IN THIS SITUATION, MOUSESPORTS DID NOT AGREE ON PLAYING MATCH LATER BECAUSE OBVIOSLUY THEY ARE SCARED TO PLAY WITH HR, THAT IS THAT NOW MOUSE WILL GET BURNED IN NEXT STAGE IN EM.

Tell me one valid reason for them to have agreed. You can say it's sportmanship, but why bother? HR failed completely not having arranged their schedule, as if they procceded correctly they were warned of the match 1 week beforehand. They didn't show up, it's their fault, not mouz's. I think it's outrageous that mouz even have the choice to choose whether to rematch or not. This should be an immediate default win to avoid situations like this where people evoque "fairplay" completely out of context.

First of all: Why didn't hltv.org come up with a statement from mousesports? This is onesided coverage. If I just knew about Khidri's statement I'd probably become as furious as most of the users commenting here, but why don't you guys even try to get some information about the whole case? Hellraiser's management obviously didn't care enough to read their e-mails before heading to Stockholm, where they spent most of the time in an internet cafe (which was btw their second opportunity to read through their mails), before heading back to Ukraine, where they didn't want to play, even though they were at home. mousesports interrupted their practice schedule for this match, they waited for more than 3 hours. Hellraisers refused to play the same evening, but mouz didn't want to lose another day of their usual practice. So who's here to blame? The team which didn't take care of their own matches, the team which didn't want to play the match at a date which was announced nearly a week ago, the team which wants to force mouz to reschedule the match although it is originally responsible for its cancellation? Nice try to abuse the meaning of "fairplay". It is simply their own fault and if there's one to blame beside them it's the ESL - because the match was set up (too) close to the end of the Arbalet Cup.

The continental Finals are in the middle of January. The German EPS Finals are next weekend. There is a gap of 1 month between both events. Plenty of time, the problem is called Fairplay, but anyway still HR`s fault!

After the EPS finals weekend, one of the mouz players goes on vacation, so it would take at least another week without mouz being able to do some proper practice. To me it's understandable that they don't want to take the risk, just because of their opponent's mistake.

Ok, WHAT THE FUCK? Lawyers? G7? HR failed completely to meet the schedule. They were warned TWICE about the match, 1 week beforehand!!!!! Still, they didn't check their emails and apparently had no clue when their match was going to be, knowing very well they were in the tournament and that the matches would be around this date. Now, as god is so full of mercy, the admins gave the option to mouz whether to have a rematch or not. In my opinion that's not correct. HR should have lost by default right away, without even asking. To me this whole story just sounds like HR didn't check their emails and weren't able to meet the schedule, and now they are trying to raise simpathy in the community and you are all buying it.

The email was sent one week before the match. Is the train trip all that long? If for any ESL's mistake only HR didn't recieve the email, then they should not be attacking mouz, they should be attacking ESL. As they are attacking mouz I assume they believe this is mouz's fault, not ESL's. (Sorry about the lawyer's thing, I hadn't understood what you were trying to say at the first glance ;) )

eKlipse, but don't you think that if mouz were fair, they would let HR play the match in other date? It's something with sense, guys weren't able to play so why we wouldnt give them a chance to play vs us another day? Ofc, they had 2 choices, they chosed the easiest for them and not very nice at the same time, cuz what HR guys could to do, if they were coming back from a tournament? Ok as you said they may should discuss with ESL, but the ones who decided not to play were mouz, cuz ESL rules says that you can play the match other day but both teams have to agree.

Obviously I know they wanted to avoid the possibility of losing with this decision. It is fairly evident ;) However, I think in this case the easier choice is also the fairest one, because HR failed to meet schedule or to ask for a postpone in advance. Therefore I don't think they deserve a rematch just because they arrived home and said "Oh, we forgot to check our emails"

First of all, dont call me retarded, thats wasn't necessary. I dont know at all... since HR didnt want to play on Tuesday there where only 2 Days(9-10.12) left until EPS Finals. All Player are working or studying, so the aren't available until 18:00-18:30. Maybe the need the time to practice or they dont wanna present there new tactics right before the Finals to there opponents. And right after the Finals a Player of mouz take off to a long planed vacation. So this is also no option.

Next time all of those "mouz are cowards" comments posters meet a ghost, I hope you won't run, because it's way more important to give the ghost a chance of killing you than saving your life!! They were in a situation in which HR failed completely and asked them for mercy. They thought they might lose the match if they rematched it, so why bother?

I won't say I am not disagree with you, because there are rules made, and if you broke it then something wrong may happen. But how HR could play that match if they were coming back from Arbalet Cup, it's just stupid, and the match should be postponed. Is that hard to play it another day?... mouz doesn't play really good nowadays, so they had a chance to pass without even playing a match and they did. I am sure other teams would accept to play the match another day, but hey it's their choice, agreed by rules, but not very fair-play. And once again, it shows how pathetic ESL is.

The point here is that HR didn't ask for postponing. They only asked for it after losing! Don't get me wrong with all the arguments I've thrown in here. There's a time for everything, and HR tried it too late. They knew they were going to Arbalet, and if they were competent they would know they would have a match on the 8th of December because a mail was sent to everyone. A responsible team, knowing the two dates might collide, would ask for postponing in advance. HR only did so after the match had ended! In my opinion, that's way too late! Now they are trying to raise simpathy in what looks like a desperate attempt to damage mouz's image. It's hard to say who has reason here, because it's hardly about reason. It's about a bad decision by ESL: They allowed mouz to choose whether to rematch or not when they should have given them a default win right from the start. Now, if ESL did fail to send them an email (which I don't think happened), then it's another failure of many by this organization. If not, it's a failure of HR.

ESL's number one rule is: If rules can be used in favour of a german team, we apply them strictly. If not, an admin will have to come up with something to help the german team.

ESL's number one rule is: Why are the rules in favour for the germans? i don't see someone in favour if the rules state how a team has to postepone the match and what client settings are used etc.

Well thats Bullshit, but i a got a solution for you. Leave the League, never come back and start your own organization. We will see howlong this works. You should be thank full that the ESL is still organize leagues and tournaments with price money, mostly sponsored by Intel Germany and other Companies. Every other major tournament is death right now (eswc, wsvg, cpl). Alot of German Admins and other Employs of Turtle Entertainment (owner of the ESL) work every day hard in Cologne to keep running the hole League, Site and manage pro tournaments like the EM, ENC & Supercup. Leagues and tournaments in which u can attend and play for pricemoney(which is also subsidize with the Money of alot of German ESL Premium Members). But all u do is disrespecting German ppls, accusing that they privilege teams, which is not true. The Rulset count for every team equal. Iam a active Player in the ESL since 2001 and i have never problems with the German Admins. And iam not even a german.

yeah of course they work so hard just for US, the FANS! and they do it because they like rainbows and unicorns and they love fairness. have you ever hear about the exictence of money? quote:The Rulset count for every team equal. ok, what you say about this mr. eslknight riding on your unicorn: Hours before the mousports-HR drama happend, the esl head admin himself told some player from ARTLEZ (which should have been playing against mtw.int, but weren't allowed because mtw.int didn't accept that artlez play with a standin) that in IEM there's not such a thing as a default win and there will never be. so ARTLEZ didn't have enough players to play, so they tried to get an defloss, to avoid penalty points... head admin says: not such a thing as defwins in IEM blalblababa 4 hours later mouz needs a defwin, they get one. ARTLEZ asks for an default loss... this is what they get: 2Major Penalty for ARTLEZ ( Did not show up ) www.esl-world.net/masters/season4/europe/cs/championship/match/15694830/ (i am referring to some posts of 2 artlez players in readmore forum) there is another case (hoorai vs. nfaculty at this eps germany finals... don't want to go into details) in the recent past where you can see, that it's not in the ESL's interest to get the best team in a fair manner on a tournament but rather to get the team in that will bring more viewing rate/publicity/drama/sponsorships. it's all about the benjamins. not about fairness, sportsmanship whatsoever

The email was sent one week before the match. Is the train trip all that long? If for any ESL's mistake only HR didn't recieve the email, then they should not be attacking mouz, they should be attacking ESL. As they are attacking mouz I assume they believe this is mouz's fault, not ESL's... so its SaD for HRbt Mouzgone with RULES i thing..and thy got FORFIET... so if thr is a PROBLEM thn its inbtwn HR and ESL.. so sTop aBussing 2 Mouz GuYs.....

LOL, a lot of intersting posts... Im a fan of AGAIN.I'm not trying to defend Mousesports. But for pro league, rules are bulit to be followed.I know HR played very well and they may win over Mousesports(not even sure before the game has played). And no matter if u have a good reason for missing the game, you missed it...I do not see why people have to argue about this decision.Besides, for all the Elec-players,rules are bulit to protect your own rights, not only for 1 team or 1 clan. I use to play for some leagues in US,if u miss you miss,a forfit win is a win.I dont think people should blame Mouse about it. I dont know if u guys put attention on WAR3 games,SK was bannd not play in 2 weeks for having 2 much punish points, even i like them i think they still should not miss or be late for some games in WC3L league. That's why we have rules and contracts for clans and players. It will make game fair and protect themselives' rights. btw,if every clan can just miss the schedul and ask to change time to play, then I do not think we should call that league a pro-league,and I dont think people will want to play in that league, not even for fans like us,we wait for long time to sepect the game in HLTV,the news will come out:game is delayed again, by that time u guys will see why it's important to have these rules.

LOL, they had a really reason for miss this game and mouz know about it. and why you saying that "rules are rules" and all right here. rules alsou told us, that if both teams agree, they can play at other time. here reason, that mouz don't want to play at other time and don't have serious reasons for this. so maybe they just try to find easy way in finals? or they just scared?

In other 'sports' it's the organizers that move the matches if some team/competitor is not able to play and request re-schedule and the other competitor (in this case mouz) can only look at the decision and cry if they like, and are not able to change it because it's the orga who decides and not some rule. There can never be such a rule in the rulebook.

The best teams do not need to be covered rules, to win. And there always are exceptions in rules. But within my memory these exceptions were never done in behalf on the Ukrainian teams, and only against them. It's not impossible though one time to help us.

The decisions made by the EM admins are so fucked up. In their own rulebook for the extreme masters they state that no matches can end up with a default win, it says that ALL matches shall be played. The same thing about delaying the macth etc, happened for us against kerchNET (since they missed their plane from Arbalet Cup), we where tho told that the match just had to be played another day. and there was no such thing as "default win" - Nice admins :--))

Still you gotta take notice that all teams were informed about the schedule. So if HR were sent the e-mail in time this failure goes to the team manager, who imo should be up to date on these things. Then again, if it's simply not possible to schedule a rematch it woulda been in vain for HR to inform earlier about them not making it, which makes the rules fail bad.

You surely don't have to surf 'the whole time' to check your e-mails, and a manager should be kinda used to checking when schedules are reported by mail. And I'm sure they did do at least some surfing also during the weekend. If the manager was sent the mail in time this failure goes without a doubt to the manager.

They asked representatives of both sides. It's up to those persons how long the statements get, not the site's editor. So, yes, cadred.org went for a full coverage while a single statement from the accusing manager is a joke in terms of journalistic standards. :)

mousesports lost all respect. funny to see G7 teams being quiet about it. If you look at those team websites, you would notice that NONE of them mention a word about this, although Im sure this qualifies as News. just like Henry's handball, where is the fairness in sports?

why would they mention a word...imagine you do a sport like football and your on the field and wait for for the opponent for about 2hrs. and after that 1! guy from the opponent team appears and asked if they can we rescedule the match because the team wasn't able to arrive because they just played a cup far away. your team would be enraged because because they lost the whole afternoon to these guys and then should play the game afterwards at another time? every team would take the def win. and if you play in the highest counterstrike league in the world a little bit professionalism is needed. in my opinion it just shows that esport isn't that developed as we think since even the pro teams don't know their matchdates.

Many games get postponed last minute. Recently, if I recall correctly, Manchester City was unable to play a premier league match on a tuesday, so the match was postponed last minute to next week's thursday. why? because fair play in football is of the most vital importance. what mousesports did was basically pussy-like, having lost what little respect there is from playing computer games more than having a social life. now they dont even have respect in the tiny world that they grew accustom to.

its nothing to do. mousesports has a good reason why they cant play, I think they may see HR as a little bit unproffesional I'm sure they could have notified that they couldnt play sooner then 20 minutes before match start. However I feel for HR beating mouse would have been a way to prove them self as probably the upcoming international team

funny how all people have understanding for poor hr, who NEVER heard about a game taking place and setting their priorities wrong by attending arbalet and not knowing how to get back in time to play, but hey, there a mouse clan who is responsable for that, let's blame them for hr's fault. and pls use intelligent phrases like "poor mouse, they could easily played it on another date.- but mom, who of u knows mouse members timetable? nobody, right. pls, wake up silly kids, 92% of all comments here are brainless. best regards, reality

First of all they planned their journey to Stockholm before they were notified about the match. Dont y think its possible that HR members were quite busy in Sweden thats why they didnt check email. But still its their fault. I cant believe that mouz have such a tough timetable not to find 2-3 hours to play this game. And writing things like "pls, wake up silly kids, 92% of all comments here are brainless" doesnt make you intelligent. I want to metion some things that y dont know maybe: 1.) Edward got ill on the way home and couldnt play(He is a strat-caller) 2.)A lot of matches during IEM were postphoned in 2-3 hours before the game. Is it so crucial that HR players could contacted only 20 minutes after the match started.

Would you people please stop using the word fair!? This word does not apply in this case. The rule exists, both teams know about the rule, they agreed to it (at the very least), one team failed to show up for the match, the rule kicks in and rightfully mouz declines HR a rescheduled match. That however does not mean that I agree with mouz' decision. It was very unsportsmanlike and a very dirty thing to do. I understand that this is competitive gaming but I don't think the scene or the sport is in that position yet where you have to pull such moves to get an advantage over the opponent. However it is also not very professional of HR to miss their game. You know your schedule, or at least you should know your schedule. You see an event interfering with a game you take care of that game and ask to postpone it. Both sides have their part in this and mouz will suffer much worse than HR will after this is over.

I guess you didn't really read much about this. They received information on this match on the day they set off traveling to Sweden. They can hardly reschedule a match they didn't know about. I can see why mouz did it, they have hardly been performing recently.

"You see an event interfering with a game you take care of that game and ask to postpone it." mouz have stated that the game couldnt be played any other time. so even if Hr tried to reschedule the match mouz would've declined it.

people cry a lot if they lose some of cs games, plz blame nobody else when u cant even show up the right time.Fans are not suppose to attack other side to win respect for your own clan.A lot of dirty words going on on this post, why people have such a hate for a competition event. I'm either fan of HR or Mouse, but I dont like people cry after they lose,no matter is forfit lose or regular lose. I know rules says that if mouse agree to choose another time,hr will have a chance to win.But mouse also have right not choose to play since HR did miss the game. Get real, compatition gaming is crucial. For that little money now been put into any league,if any clan have a chance to win in a easy way, they probably choose it that way.If it's under the rule,i do not see why people blame them for doing it. I think people feel bad about mouse it's because they didnt choose to fight. But I feel they have the right to win in a easy way. Both team knows that they have a big game coming up and HR missed it,I do not see why ESL give them even a chance to play again (under other side's agreement).Man, you miss then you miss.I know it's sad,but you should know Extreme Masters is a big event. The only one you should blame is yourselives or your manager. Im not trying to defend Mouse,if HR is the team win in a forfit win, I will say the same thing.Plz be responsible and cry less.Show up next time and beat them, instead of being a crybaby.

There are rules and dignity. There are people who don't want to win the match by cheating. For me it was cheat to inform another side about match 24 hours before when everybody knows that they were traveling home. Until main sponsors wouldn't take some steps to make ESL fair for every nation, there will be "rules" only for German teams.

You should get your information not only from this site... Every team was informed about the date of the match like FIVE DAYS ago. If the orgas do not manage to contact the other team in time, it's their problem. And by the way, just think about one thing: Imagine Mousesports would have missed the game, and HellRaisers would have demanded their right to get a default win. Then Mousesports would have claimed "Hey, that's not fair, our player's caravan was stuck in the middleeuropean deserts, we want a rematch!" You would not really want them to get a rematch, do you? The rules are: every team is informed about the date a few days ago. If both teams agree, the match can be played at another time. But you can't demand the match to be postponed AFTER the actual beginning of it, if you had a few days of time to manage that. This is 100% HRs fault, 100% proof of unprofessionality on the hand of HR management, and it was 100% Mousesports' right to reject HRs request 20 minutes after the official start - no matter if they were scared, tired, bored or did not want to play before the EPS Finals (which might be a bit more important for them, btw, because these finals are like the only thing they have a chance to win ;D). PS: I really don't like mousesports, but I think Hellraisers behavior is almost as ridiculous as all these stupid kids around here that are like "omq fail lol esl germans sucks wtf nazis lmao hitler 1941 wtf" :|

Ok, maybe I was wrong at that point, but do not tell me what if HR will have this opportunity to "win" :) I don't know how HR would behave if situation will be different. But u know that there should be some dignity and respect to your opponents in e-sport. That's my point. I don't hate German players or scene but this kind of situations are very popular with your teams :) Why in many games, other countries could have a deal to play match in fair way? And one thing more. Many people are confused about behave of player YDK on DreamHack - and they are comparing these 2 situations.

You talking about "dignity" and "respect"... My god, mousesports did not kill HRs gaming careers and kill their dreams, just for fun. HR made a mistake and mousesports took the easy way to use this opportunity to get an easy win. Yes, maybe could have postponed the match, and yes, that would be quite nice towards HellRaisers. HellRaisers, however, could have informed Mouz on time, as well. Everybody here makes the situation look like Mousesports just exploitet the inevitable dilemma for HellRaisers and just took their undeserved win. That's not true. ;) HR was too slow or whatever to prevent that situation, and Mouz didn't bother to reorder all their plans for the following days just because HellRaisers seem not to take care of their schedule. And about that "other games.."-thing: not to show up on time without informing the opponent and giving a shit about the upcoming match (which they KNEW that would come) is not less of being unfair, than not to care about the others mistakes and just to take the easy win. And I don't really know anything about YDKs behaviour at DreamHack, sorry. ;)

We was in train after Arbalet Cup Ukraine and came home 3 hours before match starts. Of course we were not checking the news at first time, so we found out we got game in 15 mins after it sould be started. The mail and the news was sent/posted that day 01.28, so we couldnt know about it before we sat in plane nad train after. While the trip, Edward got sick and feels bad so anyway he couldnt play. Also i'm very disppointed about Mousesports. We explained the situation to Puri, but got no understanting from their side. As for me, it's a shame to such a great organisation to win matches this way. Good Game Best Regards, Ivan 'Johnta' Shevtsov" ----> esl-world.net/masters/season4/europe/cs/.. kthx

Why didn't they play the game while they were in Sweden ? Better ping to play.. Is there a open protest going on or the descision is already made and end of story?

First of all I would just like to point out how many offending comments have been written here and in the other thread concerning this case. Why we can't simply speak objectively about this issue? I'm not talking about the insults against the mousesports team rather the many disrespectful statements generally against Germans. If you don't get your anger under control please stop posting stuff on hltv.org! I noticed that it comes mainly from people who have written so far only a few comments and after they got rid of their shit, they warp back into their holes. Thank God! And spare me with comments such as: stop crying, quit yammering or whine elsewhere. I know there is everywhere a minority of fools, but this is one request: try to think a bit before you throw in garbage and historical comparisons which is just bullshit. I really like to read and participate in discussions here but at this level I surrender. It's really sad dudes...

right, not even the admins are able to handle it anymore. The most violent thing I've read this was: Only a dead german is a good german. This is surely an intolerable impertinence

Guys, all I read is hates and justice, plz. I do not understand why we have these much hate in CS game.Im a chinese I feel like after 8 or 9 years,we cant find respect in CS world.Believe or not we are losing this game not because it's getting boring, but because people start having hates for their opponent.I feel like if we dont stop yelling and hating, one day we will lose this game.Plz respect each other and respect your opponent. In cs world,we should be a big family instead of being Racial to each other. I know compatition gaming is real, but we still can enjoy playing with each other in CS.We meet a lot of great people in it,it's not only a game. People feel bad about mouse's decision and HR's,but that's their call.We should not make it into a war in cs and attack each other. This game means a lot to every one of you guys,I do not see why we have to put a color to it. Hope cs can last as long as Soccer and basketball. plz stop fighting for nonsense.

+ 1000000000000000000 IT's funny to see that CS now has its hooligans, just like soccer or any other sports Mouz clearly acted cowardly but it has nothing to do with german ppl or esl admins, and there's no need to insult germans or esl, blame esl for organization , blame Mouz for acting like that. EDIT : GERMAN KIDS ARE TO BLAME TOO

well HR arrived to Kiev 7.12.09 @ 12:20 cet (same as KerchNET). They had alot of time for returning 2 home. Here (npcl.ru/index.php?option=com_content&tas.. - 2 pics) u can find train schedule between Kiev - Kharkov (Edward) and Kiev - Dnepropetrovsk (markeloff & Johnta) for 7.12.09. Angel & Xaoc living @ Kiev. They could be at home before match starting. I have no idea what happend - they spend alot of time @ Kiev, they lie or smth else. But only HR players guilty @ this situation. Sorry for my "english"

It took 7-8 hours at least to reach Kharkov from Kiev pas according to your train schedule(exept Stolychniy Express that cost 2-2,5 times more expensive) . So they arrived at 12 20 in Kiev as u said and for example Edward needed at least 2 hours to reach railway station(14 20) and then 7-8 hours to arrive in Kharkov railway st. and also 30 minutes(dont know exactly, just take an averave value) to come home. So we get 21 50.(22 00 match starts). After such a long way back to home he would need some time to have a rest. Do y have some old scores with HR?))

Just wanted to say it's stupid to punish a team while they are supporting the e-sport community. Because thats what they are doing when they attended that tournament.
