EG & coL advance to Grand Final

Evil Geniuses and compLexity will contest the Extreme Masters American Finals trophy on Sunday at 22.20 CET.

The American teams were strongly tipped to reach the last stage of the tournament after being paired with Canadian sides and they made sure to confirm the odds on just two maps.

After moving past Sway 16-8 on de_nuke, which had been a strong map for the Canadians in the group stage, Evil Geniuses comfortable countered their opponents' threat on de_inferno, winning the second map by the same score line.

As for compLexity, the ESEA winners started really on de_dust2, going into half time up 12-3. Although they managed to win the first three rounds as Terrorist, Blight found a lifeline, but two rounds was all they could get as Jeff "hero" Mettetal sealed a 16-5 win in a one-on-three situation.

On de_nuke, Blight began the brighter, winning the first three rounds, but the rest of the first half was an all-coL show as the Americans took the remaining twelve rounds. Now playing as T, the Canadians showed once again their strength in pistol round situations, setting the score at 12-6, but coL's pushes from then on allowed them to bag the necessary four rounds to make it a 16-6 win.

Evil Geniuses and compLexity have both secured a spot in this season's Extreme Masters Global Finals, and they will meet each other tomorrow, at 22.20 (CET time), to decide who gets the first prize of $15,000.

Its getting better. Only 2 US teams right now at that level but EG and coL can play with the best, they showed that at the last couple of international LANS they were at.

why r u so agressive..he gives his point of view, all you see is that he "insults" your country or whatever...that's a fact, US teams are not what they used to be since they played CGS on Source. admit it and move on...

That's really mature of you, did he ever mention his own country compared to yours? He just said your CS level wasn't as high as it used to be, just try getting better and be happy that he praised you for what you have done instead of being such a jerk.

I would say american teams like year ago was 2times worser then it is now, because EG and coL and even Turmoil can give some good damage to the top euro teams, 1year ago even EG bairly give some damage, but now ther are 3teams +EG adding gfn are playing better.. yes 3-4years ago americans was top country @ cs 1.6, but i think that source and cgs shit, all just get worser and worser.. for 1.6

He´s not talking about 1 year ago. I would say 2k4 and earlier. And that´s right, even NA has now EG, col, etc, thats nothing compared to the good old time.
