The Polish team won their second WCG gold medal this year and has now been submitted in the WCG Hall of Fame.
WCG Legend is an honorable title that is given by WCG committee to the players who won the Grand Final two or more times. WCG and all the world's gamers will remember them forever.
So it says on the official WCG Hall of Fame page, now having the Golden Five on the very top. The Polish squad won their first gold medal at WCG 2006 in Monza, defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Grand Final. The second one was won this year in Chengdu, when defeating fnatic in the WCG 2009 Grand Final.
"We finally have the gold, we'll never give it back."
With two WCG gold medals, WCG has now submitted the Polish team in the WCG Hall of Fame, where only one Counter-Strike team was found beforehand, being Team 3D, who won in 2004 and 2005(Source and Condition-Zero).
AGAiN now find themselves in the record books, being the first team ever, to win two World Cyber Games gold medals in Counter-Strike 1.6.
Congratulations and this year's victory was awesome considering no sponsors relying on personal savings and they had very bad circumstances prize money owning etc. They definitely proved a point. GG Polska.

i think he was telling that they had second thoughts about playing cs without money so they decided to play cs to prove that are valuable , so that thing makes their victory even bigger or something like that :D

the best team in the history is SK Gaming - mainly from 2003 and 2005. they were unstoppable and soo stable.. there is no such team as them today (even their current lineup isn't)

+1 on that. SK 2003-2005 were the most dominant team ever. If they continued playing for 5 or 6 more years (like again) they would obviously be the team with more tittles with the same lineup without any doubt

Woulda, shoulda. But the fact is that they didn't play and they didn't win more titles, and saying that they would its only your opinion. Personally I don't think that they could stand a chance with fnatic this year or mTw in their time of dominance or with Pentagram/AGAiN while they dominated in 2006/2007. But is really any of the teams mentioned better than te oter?
For me its hard to say. All the greatest teams in history of CS had such periods of dominance, and you really can't compare later times to the present ones. We can only chose 3/4/5 teams that really deserve to be called one of the greatest in history but chosing one is impossible.
fnatic is dominating and winning many events now but they are still missing big titles like WCG or ESWC which they are losing even in their dominance time, and they lineup changed so we dont really compare the same team, but organisation. We would have to split it for like 'old' and 'new' (with gux and gtr) fnatic.
mTw was great in one year and it was really huge difference in the level of playing comparing to the any other team then, they've won many tournaments including WCG and before was always one of the top teams, but as SK, and fnatic they dont play in same lineup and they can't win more to be claimed as the best.
Pentagram/AGAiN has incredible skill (or luck as can others say) to win or be in top places at many big and important tournaments as ESWC, WCG or IEM, but they didn't win so many smaller tournamets as fnatic did or as SK did. They have won 5 biggest and the most important events (2x WCG 2x ESWC and 1x IEM) but they are plaing in same lineup for the longest period of time so its not compareable to SK 03/05 mTw or fnatic. The only part that we can compare its their 2006/07 time when they were dominating and won not so many tournaments but it was like a half of all they took part in (WCG, ESWC, WSVG, IEM and dont remember others if there were any) but their dominance was not so impressive because they missed many tournaments, and there was something missing.
So to sum up i think that the teams i mentioned are 'one of the greatest in history of CS' but I would not be able to chose eiter one or set some standing which was better.
I tried to bo as neutral as i could but all in all it always gonna be subjective, ant thats the whole point :P

I had the patience to read all of it, crazy me. Well, what you say its true, but you gotta understand one thing. The dominance of team SK 2003-2005 was PURE dominance. They won almost every single tournament in 2 years. Theres no other team with that record, not even close. Teams like old-PGS, mTw, fnatic,etc were dominant, but in a shorter period of time (way shorter than SK) and not with such a long winning streak.. Yes, there are 3/4 teams that deserve to be called one of the best of all time, but no team deserves it more than SK 2003-2005 ;)

hw was the competion of Sk at that period? i recall 3D , but i dnt see any other potential competion other that that!.? to dominate now is way more difficult than dominating then. now every one is aware of every nook and corner and its use in a map.! so the strats are the ones that only help. before there were so many unknown stuff unlike now.

With that logic, you cant say Pele or Maradora are the best players of all time for example. It was much easier to dominate back then too, still, thats not what matters. What does matter its the dominance they put in their time. And there was no such domiance since SK 2003-2005

To be honest; You are tlaking about Sk in 2003-2005 and Their pure dominance. But U should take into consideration the fackt that there weren't so many profesional teams in that time. And generly E-sport wasn't developing themselves
as it is now. So to compare U opinion to sth it's like: British were pure dominators in XIX century in football xD ofcourse they were but know U cann't say that They are the best nation in football cuz they "won" evrything before I WW.
As u can take some indicator; Brasilians took 5th time World Cup and for that reason we call them the best nation in football.
