HEN1 set to join MIBR - Report

With Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes reportedly moving to Imperial, MIBR have set their sights on a replacement.

According to a report from Dust2.com.br, MIBR are about to announce the signing of former GODSENT AWPer Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles to fill the vacant spot left after chelo completed the move to Imperial for a reported sum of approximately $200,000.

The 27-year-old is supposed to take over AWPing from Breno "⁠brnz4n⁠" Poletto, who took up the sniper position in MIBR following Adriano "⁠WOOD7⁠" Cerato's benching from the team in May with mixed results, averaging a 1.02 rating since then.

MIBR is reportedly signing HEN1

HEN1 recently found himself out of a job after the core of his previous team, GODSENT, joined up with Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David and Santino "⁠try⁠" Rigal in 00NATION, with GODSENT deciding to release the AWPer from his contract just three months after his signing.

It was the second consecutive team HEN1 left within months of joining. In early 2021, the Brazilian stepped down from FURIA in a shock decision that eventually saw him team up with his brother, Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles, in the O PLANO team that became the first iteration of 00NATION.

Both brothers went on to be benched from the team in October, a little over a month following the move to 00NATION, before subsequently being released from the organization in December.

HEN1 now seems back on track as he quickly finds himself a new team following the short GODSENT stint, joining an MIBR that has mostly resided around 25th place in the HLTV ranking and competed at some of the biggest tournaments this season, such as the PGL Major, IEM Dallas, and IEM Cologne.

With his addition, MIBR will look as follows:

In godsent he played a great CS although short time and some problems. He can be the great awper again like he was in 2020. His only problem was love the brother too much.

exit or JOTA. chelo said in a interview to dust2 BR tho ( youtube.com/watch?v=UxfXGD5EwPw) that the team considered, initially, both exit and JOTA; they were gonna go with exit, but then realized that, for him to IGL, he'd have to give up his lurker/round-finisher role (in which he shined the most) to group up with the rest of the players as a "bloc-player". They then leaned torwards JOTA, but then, as chelo said, realized "it wasn't gonna work", and so he offered to assume the role. So, theoretically, both exit and JOTA should be in contention for the spot. If I was gonna bet in one of them, however, I'd bet that exit takes it. Maybe they're willing to try to make it work. And, I dunno... He just seems more like a "captain" to me. More than JOTA, and moire than chelo, even! So I hope he gets it.

My guesses for the probable motives behind his move are: -He values the opportunity of playing with FalleN & fer A LOT; -He values the viewership/number of fans/fan culture of Imperial, the team with the most fans in all of CS (see: gamesbras.com/english-version/2022/5/19/..); he wants to be part of that movement! -He believes that, with him, Imperial might perform very well – maybe even better than what MIBR would perform had he stuck with them! Anyway, these are my theories behind it, at least!

Hen1 was so sick during the online era. The competition really wasn't bad during that time period either you had 3 teams that were top 5 the year before and two that were top 1. It's just a shame how he disappeared. I hope he's good but with this much time I don't know I'll have to see it.

I miss spamming ''Hengod'' on his every incredible play... About him at Furia back, he's still friends with some players (he played lobby with Yuurih and Kscerato recently), but I think Org seems pretty proud (doesn't like to go back on a decision), I don't know if they would accept Hen1 back (but that's to me see, not that it's concrete), and it would also be wrong with Saffee.
