Astralis beat NIP to move on to Group A Final

The Danes will be facing Vitality for the top seed in the group.

Astralis were victorious against Ninjas in Pyjamas in what was a rematch of the opening round of the tournament. This time, the Danes decided to ban Overpass after losing it to Ninjas in Pyjamas earlier in the day, leaving Ancient as the chosen map. The change paid off, as they avenged their opening loss with a 16-9 victory.

The group final between Astralis and Vitality will be starting imminently and will decide the winner of the group. Meanwhile, Ninjas in Pyjamas have finished the group stage in third place, and will be facing the fourth-placed team from Group C in the knockout stage on Thursday.

Astralis started their offensive side with a quick 4-0 lead before the Swedes got on the board with an aggressive play on middle as they started to claw back their deficit. Astralis had other ideas however, as a round comprised of just Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer's AK-47 and a couple of flashes netted them their fifth of the half. The back-and-forth nature continued, with the Danes keeping a slight advantage throughout, 8-7.

blameF proved to be the difference-maker in the second pistol round with a four-kill round, enabling his team to go 12-7 up. Astralis continued to dominate the CT side, with the Ninjas getting just two rounds on their offensive side. Ancient ended with a 16-9 scoreline in the favor of Astralis, who now move on to the group final.
