ESL Pro League S16 Group B Fantasy open to play

Test your Counter-Strike knowledge in the second fantasy game of the EPL group stage.

Group B of ESL Pro League Season 16 is due to start on Wednesday, September 7, with another HLTV Fantasy game going live alongside it.

The second group of the event will feature the No. 1 and No. 9 ranked FaZe and G2, with the two teams eager to secure their place in the playoffs as the group's clear-cut favourites. The two European mixes will be joined by BIG, Outsiders, MIBR, and FTW, all gunning for one of the three playoff spots up for grabs.

So far, people have leaned more towards players from the European combines of FaZe and G2. Justin "⁠jks⁠" Savage currently leads the way as the most-picked player with a rather affordable $179,000 asking price. Not far behind the Australian is Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen, who is usually a comfortable choice for the Leader role, while only going for $183,000.

Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač's tops Group B as the player with the highest price as he goes for $228,000, just ahead of Helvijs "⁠broky⁠" Saukants at $224,000. The two players are strong picks despite the hefty price tags, however, as they can be expected to top the scoreboards with their team-high 1.22 and 1.17 respective ratings in 2022 thus far.

Other top picks outside of FaZe and G2 include the BIG duo of Karim "⁠Krimbo⁠" Moussa and Josef "⁠faveN⁠" Baumann, who could perform solidly for a reduced cost if the Germans impress during their time in Malta.

Similarly, Rasmus "⁠HooXi⁠" Nielsen is also one of the cheaper options at $168,000. The G2 captain has had a hard time individually since joining the European lineup but could prove to be a solid, yet economical, pick for those wanting to also splash out on the stars of the group.

The celebrity fantasy league will also go live for its third instalment, with a number of recognisable names playing for $1,000 in their respective division. Analyst Sudhen "⁠Bleh⁠" Wahengbam, who currently sits joint-second alongside Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund, has opted to focus on a FaZe-G2 centric squad by picking four of his five players from the two teams.
