No fates to be decided on day 3 of wide-open EPL Group C

A couple of upsets in a close-knit group have ESL Pro League Group C heading into day three with it all to play for.

Despite being the second-lowest-ranked side in attendance, Complexity sits on top of the table as the only team to go undefeated so far after the first two days of play in the third group of ESL Pro League.

A first-round upset over Astralis and a win over the only team ranked lower than them, HEET, had the North American side recently bolstered with Håkon "⁠hallzerk⁠" Fjærli get off to a great start and leave more favored opposition behind for the time being.

An unexpected challenger has risen in Group C

Astralis themselves, ENCE, HEROIC, and MOUZ — the quartet who had been expected to fight for the three playoffs spots on offer — are all tied with 1-1 records, while HEET sit at the bottom at 0-2 as the group enters its third day of play with the standings still very much wide open.

The current table leaves the group with nothing to be decided for certain in the third round. HEET are in danger of going 0-3 as they're facing Astralis in the first series of the day, but no matter what else happens the Frenchmen will still be in the running for playoffs at the end of the day after they took the first map off the Danish powerhouse.

Complexity are set to lock horns with HEROIC with hopes of securing their third win, which would go a long way in helping the Johnny "⁠JT⁠" Theodosiou-led side edge closer to the playoffs but not quite guarantee them a spot yet, even if other results in the round play in their favor.

For everyone else simply a second victory in the round robin is on the line — still, an important one given how tight the group has looked so far, with an unexpected challenger on top and all the favorites tied for second place.
