According to pcgames.com.cn, WeMade FOX will be removing their Counter-Strike 1.6 squad prior to entering the year of 2010.
The South Korean team joined WeMade FOX on the 12th of January 2009,
parting ways with their former home, the organization of e-STRO. The
team might however not serve one year at WeMade FOX, as reports
indicate they will be shown the exit-door, prior to entering 2010.
Reports state that the contracts, which will expire on the 12th of
January 2010, will not be renewed, as WeMade FOX supposedly will go
all-in on StarCraft and WarCraft. WeMade FOX have recently been linked
with signing the now former SK Gaming member June "Lyn" Park, which
could be one of the reasons why the Counter-Strike 1.6 squad will not
have their contracts renewed.
solo & co. to be dropped by WeMade FOX?
WeMade FOX have still not confirmed or declined the case, but with
their Counter-Strike 1.6 team on the participants lists for Arbalet Cup
Kazakhstan, taking place 30-31st of January, a respond is to be
expected within far too long.
cs it's not that popular in korea, where they have the best starcraft leagues(team based and individual based)and the best starcraft players(koreans have won all wcg grand finals) so the release of the team may be something most razonable for WMF.

Yup, finishing in 4th or 5th is not bad at all, but sometimes there's no prize or the prize money is not much for finishing 4th or 5th. and I think most of the tournaments are in europe right?, of course except for WCG and two others ones in china...and tickets to those places + hotel are no cheap.
CS is a great game but it doesnt attract many sponsors anymore.

probably the most stable team around here always placing rather high but not winning, kind of sad considering that the wins mainly get the bucks.
for example if they had won like 2 tournaments this year instead of several top 3 placings or w.e the org could have probably kept them cause they would be getting attention and some of the prize money..
hope they find some team to support them cause CS isnt that popular in asia :S
and they were better in 08 cause of lineup change.

They have been my favourite team for years now. But honestly watching them play in 2009 was just bad. They looked great at estars, and then just looked bad the rest of the year. As soon as they picked up ari, they became a top3-top5 team. As soon as ari left, they became inconsistant and barely a top10 team. They need ari and or hee back. lsw has good aim, but he loses them rounds with his style.
unless this lineup becomes solo bail ari glow termi/hee, they will never be a top3-top5 team again.

agree, ari and solo were a killer duo. tactically ari is one of the best players, let alone aimwisely (no homo).
anyways, why did they dropped him (and hee)?

Sadly things haven't gone as well with WMF as they did with eSTRO. I'm confident that even if this would be true, they will soon be picked up by another organization and head into 2010 strong.

yea WMF need's SC and WC3 squad more as sc is very big in korea n WMF.Moon and Soccer seem to be alot bringing in term's of prizes than WMF.CS so it's wise for WMF organisation to drop the cs squad gl to solo and the boy's if they get drop that is

not surprising, getting a player such as Lyn is much more interesting for them as a South Korean orga than a CS team, especially one that doesn't win anything.

I dont blame them, they make more money off their SC/WC players than their CS team anyway, maybe if WMF.CS actually won some tournies they would have kept them but they haven't had one good showing in 6 months since e-Stars, hope they go back to project_kr

Individiual skill is not to blame in such teams as wmf or other, it's all about momentum, bad/good decisions(as a team). Bad results are too be blamed on all the team, you can't blaim 1/2 players for your bad standings in a tournament, maybe the other teams trained harder, a TEAM means a collective effort not playing on your own.

lsw is such a terrible player :/. Ever since I saw him constantly get owned at b on inferno with his knife holding out, I've lost all my hope in him. Replace lsw with ari and they will be good to go.

Many of you have confusion. Like chickens without heads dancing backwards. WeMadeFOX cut the CS team to focus on SC and WC3, not because the CS team didn't perform. SC is bigger in Korea by far and where the focus is at.

It's too bad for solo & co. If this news turns out to be true, they are going to have to serve in the army which basically means South Korean CS scene will come to an end
