SteelSeries announce NP+ mousepad

SteelSeries today introduce a new offspring to the mousepad family – Introducing the water and stain resistant SteelSeries NP+ mousepad.

The mousepad was introduced today, during the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The latest SteelSeries cloth mousepad was designed for games and mouse users who prefer a thick and rough glide surface. With the pressure compressed fibers allows for extreme durability making it water and most-stain resistant.

SteelSeries state that the mousepad is specifically targeted for gamers that prefer a medium to rough glide and higher level of mouse to surface friction. Regardless of their preference, users can effectively operate an optical or laser mouse on the 17.7 x 15.7 surface. Its non-slip rubber base provides a firm grip and prevents the pad from sliding no matter what surface the SteelSeries NP+ is placed on.

SteelSeries NP+ will be available at leading online retailers in March 2010, with a MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) set at €24,99.

So far, you are. The mail to SteelSeries was sent on the 9th of December. I will talk to SteelSeries tomorrow, whether they have been sent of not, which I can only assume they have.

Grrr, we have said a million times, we are NOT in charge of the shipping, we hand the addresses over to our partners, and yea sometimes we are slow, and yea sometimes there are mistakes on our end, but you guys won it with no effort, you did not pay anything, so how about you WAIT and be happy when you receive it instead of spamming nonsense in various topics totally unrelated to whatever you might feel entitled to? We are not doing competitions because we want to, it is a huge fucking hurdle for us, and a source of endless whining and trouble, we are doing them for our partners and they are prioritized below our real work, simple as that.

This was a pretty blatent advertisement, even if it wasn't inteded as such. I'd recommend submitting reviews for products, not feature lists.

When products are featured as news they are traditionally scrutinized in order to see pros and cons. I'm not sure why anyone would just want to read advertisements, thats why people pay to have them displayed. Posting the release of products can be okay... but there should be some context IMO :)

If you bought a mat for your mouse, to enhance your skill why would you put a drink near it so you could ruin your buy? I know it still happens and by accident, but people should treat their stuff better :) So yeah, I find this useless. Good thing they keep making products none the less.

I know people that do take them off because they treat their investment like it deserves :) And you shouldn't take it that personally, my "smoking while playing gives skill" remark had sarcasm as I'm sure you got it :) And why shouldn't I assume that it was while playing? I have friends that play while smoking as well :) heck one of them is even on my team lol

Looks nice, but if the stain resistant is crappy (as in it still gets dusty etc) and you need to wash it... how the hell you gonna do that?

Dunno if I explained myself well. If you use a Qck alot and scratch the bottom side (where your palm rests) after lots of use, it shows up white from the dust/deadskin from the friction of you moving your wrist. Can't really wash that shit without a scrub, and you can't really scrub without water actually going into the cloth :p

As far as I have read you should use a slightly wet towel with soap (or baby wipes, even easier) and you are done. By the way, not a good idea to post your question in a news thread as it may end up unseen ;) Next time, please, for similar things, use the fitting forum. Thank you.
