aSpx in new Lemondogs team

The infamous Brazilian player Pedro "aSpx" Leone has linked up with the new Lemondogs Counter-Strike team.

Leone made headlines back in October when he was caught cheating at the Brazilian WCG qualifier with ECO.COBRA, which earned him a six-year ban from most competitions in the country.

Since then, he has been seen playing in several tournaments in Argentina, and he has now joined a local team together with fellow countryman Pietro "pirata" Scotto.

Lemondogs, who have been without a Counter-Strike team since their Swedish squad moved to H2k-Gaming in August, will support the team at the Argentine KODE5 stop, which is due to take place from February 12-14 in Buenos Aires.

The new Lemondogs team look as follows:

Leandro "iceman" Rabita
Mariano "Punisher" Auteri
Pedro "aSpx" Leone
Pietro "pirata" Scotto

you dont follow our scene thats for sure, we have easy 4, 5 topteams that can take a bite at mibr in top level , or firegamers if you wish. on top level nationally we have mibr, firegamers , playart , goldenglory etc etc. On top level internationally we have FG and MIBR . Mibr switched to source when they were top3 in 2006. if not top1 in eswc if you remember..... they did not recover their shape and they made a comeback .... but even so it highlited some other brazilian players such as bit and fnx in 1.6 even dough they didnt win any WCGS or ESWCS etc. A DREAMHACK over SK in SWEEDEN on INFERNO LAN was reasonable!!! (laughs) Finnish teams are really not that consistent , keep changing lineups alot and havent won anything in what? 4 years?

I think argentinan lvl is quite acceptable, but, as everyone says, it's not as known as it should be cause the lack of sponsors here. Lemondogs could have fetched some other team as The Right Stuff, Wild ineters or Wakemind, which are the teams that are winning almost every "big" torunment here. About the lineup, as they ve said, Brian is a mad aimer, icemann and punisher are not at his lvl, are just avarage players. I didn have the chance to see pirate, but he seems to be a good TL ingame, ASPX is OK, as far as i know he's gonna live in Argentina and became really good friend with some guys in the team.

well, Argetina only had one top team @ world, it was around 2001 or 2002 I think, they travel to CPL Dallas, etc, their name was Walk Over (wo.AMD), they were at same level than United5, better than mibr, etc. :[

Few will have faith in this team. I can say that as an Argentine player who these 3 are my compatriots have a good level of play, and have much more to prove, either nationally and internationally, and certainly hope to see all that k5 qualifier in Argentina this year. I agree that the team could have chosen another 2 national players like 138 & otto instead of aspx and pirate, but in this case is the relationship that has them in and out of cs, and this relationship can also lead to best complements the team and have a good performance. To those who say they came to Argentina aspx why the cheat and others say, are partly wrong. Argentina has good players, they always had. The echo of the situation here is very different (and economically speaking) to that of many countries, does not mean that there is a good level of play. argentina is like IRELAND in soccer !! we know that they really like the sport, we know that they really wished they could qualify for a worldcup. we know that they follow the soccer scene internationally , we know that they are big fans and they watch brazilian soccer on tv, aswell as brazilian national tourney(campeonato brasileiro) and even state tourneys(campeonato carioca , paulista) and brazilian national team friendly matches(amistoso selecao) BUT THEY KNOW THEY SUCK AT IT , AND THEIR NATIONAL TEAM IS FARWAY FROM GETTING A WORLDCUP SPOT , EVEN DOUGH THE WHOLE COUNTRY IS CRAZY ABOUT IT. THEY REALLY CANT DO THAT MUCH , DESPITE BEING CRAZY ABOUT IT AND WISHING THEY COULD MAKE OUT OF QUALIFY STAGE. Its said , cuz i have irish friends and i hope they achive sucess etc etc. Thats like argentinian cs scene, they wish they could , but infortunately what we see is a weak cs scene with crazy community behind expecting results that are never going to come. I understand that envy, but trust me, The Kode5 is from LocalStrike, an important company here on Argentina, and there will be (as there was on LocalStrike Urban Cup October 2009) many Staff members looking around all the computers and configurations, And looking the screen of each player, Maybe you think "blah there wont be so many people looking around". There is normally 2-3 staff members for EACH team, so, do you think he will try to cheat? lol. And on Urban Cup that had place at october of 2009, ASPX came to play here, and I was looking his screen permanently, he has amazing skills, without cheat, I trust that he has an incredible future.
