sjuush renews Heroic contract

The Norwegian organisation has made a commitment to the future after signing new contracts with all five players in recent times.

Rasmus "⁠sjuush⁠" Beck has extended his contract with HEROIC for two more years, it has been announced. The news comes just a day after HEROIC were eliminated from the BLAST Premier World Final in last place when Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke was standing in for Martin "⁠stavn⁠" Lund.

The extension follows an otherwise successful end to the year for HEROIC. Since the addition of Jakob "⁠jabbi⁠" Nygaard in June, the Danish squad have exceeded expectations by securing a finals appearance at the IEM Rio Major and winning the BLAST Premier Fall Final shortly afterwards.

sjuush joined Heroic in February 2021

sjuush is not the only member of HEROIC to recently have his contract extended, as René "⁠TeSeS⁠" Madsen, Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller, and stavn all received two-year extensions of their own in the last two months. HEROIC have now secured their core until 2024.

"During his time at Heroic, we have seen amazing development from Rasmus, where he has established himself as one of the absolute best in the world on his position," a statement from Heroic reads. "He is a big part of the Heroic family both on and off the server. He is a hard-working and dedicated player, and we strongly believe that he can develop even more in the coming years.

"Heroic has now extended contracts with all our five players for several years to come, and we can’t wait to see how far we can take it in 2023."

To be honest he's way better than sjuush, but then again Heroic is a team which play well because of the combination of players.

Not if he is playing sjuush roles and positions. Sjuush is consistent and doesn’t need to check his ego at the door.

No, he is not way better than sjuush. And obviously they're not gonna replace a really good anchor player in sjuush with an ultra aggressive entry. sjuush is mr. consistent for Heroic. He rarely has bad games and he is a CT beast holding B alone on various maps. Konfig has one of the highest ceilings in all of CS. I almost cant make a list of 10 players who can reach the individual level that he can on certain days - but if these days are 1/10, then you cant build a consistently winning CS team with konfig on it. And that is and has been the case for him. sjuush is far, far beyond konfig at the moment.

Only upgrade for heroic would be a better awper they dont need another star rifler in the team I doubt k0nfig could perform all of the support duties sjuush does and anyways k0nfig should be given star roles not support work
