Anubis fixes, Ancient changes in CS:GO update
Various bugs around the newest map added to the Active Duty map pool have been addressed in Valve's latest patch.
Valve released a new update to CS:GO on Friday, mainly making layout adjustments to Ancient and addressing a variety of issues that have been spotted on the new map, Anubis, in the first month following its addition to the Active Duty map pool.
The B bombsite on Ancient has been opened up due to the compression of the two blocks on each side. This has created a new angle all the way from lane to ramp (see picture below) and made the cubby in the site shallower, essentially removing the ability for players to hide there.


The bomb explosion radius on Ancient has been increased by 150 units in a similar change to a June update to Inferno, and the CT spawn has been moved back to delay the defense by approximately one second, slightly shifting timings in which the two sides can encounter one another around the map.
On Anubis, several spots where grenades and guns could fall through the ground have been addressed, along with various clippings that caused issues with throwing grenades and players getting stuck — the arch leading to the B bombsite among the most notable.
These changes are not expected to come into play at the ongoing BLAST Premier World Final, which is now heading into the semi-finals. The tournament runs on an old patch, dating back to even before the next-to-last update that disabled so-called "magic" molotovs on Tuesday.

Ancient
– Increased bomb radius to 650 from 500
– Flattened out cubbies in red house top of mid
– Pushed back CT spawn 256 units, delaying CTs ~1 sec
– Compressed blocky things on B site, to create longer sightlines and more space to move around
