ESL Impact Katowice team list finalised

The opening spectacle of the ESL Impact 2023 circuit features four invited and four qualified teams.

With the conclusion of the North American closed qualifier on Sunday, the team list for ESL Impact Katowice 2023 is now complete. Four teams have joined the four invitees of Nigma Galaxy, HSG fe, FURIA fe and CLG Red to fight for their share of a $100,000 prize pool.

NAVI Javelins were the first team from Europe to seal their berth through the qualifiers, taking down NIP Impact and 9 Pandas Fearless to make it. 9 Pandas Fearless were not to be denied however, and they returned for the second qualifier and succeeded in bagging their own spot at Katowice, defeating NIP Impact and BIG EQUIPA to do so. BIG EQUIPA are a notable absence from the Katowice team list, considering they achieved a top-four finish in the ESL Impact League Season 1 Finals.

B4 fe were the team to make it through the South American qualifiers, dispatching MIBR fe 2-0 to secure their place in Poland. B4 fe did so off the back of defeating the second-best female team in the world, FURIA fe, in the Gamers Club Women Masters VI, and so many eyes will be on them to see what they might achieve in 2023. It was Saints who made it through the North American qualifier, impressively defeating EG Gold 2-1 to seal the final Katowice spot.

The action will take place on February 10-12 in Katowice, Poland, with the teams split into two GSL-style groups. The top two teams from each group advance to a single-elimination, best-of-three playoff bracket, with $50,000 going to the eventual winner.
