BLAST Premier Spring Groups reaches Knockout Stage

The first stage concluded with FaZe, G2, and Vitality all winning their groups to book their places at the Spring Final.

The Group Stage of BLAST Premier Spring Groups has drawn to a close, with the teams that are yet to qualify now set to battle it out in a single-elimination bracket to determine the three remaining spots at the $425,000 Spring Final.

Teams that finished third and fourth in their groups will meet in the first round, with the winners of those matches set for one final showdown against the group's second-placed teams for a spot at the Spring Final.

The Knockout Stage is set to start on Friday at 15:00 with the North American derby between Complexity and Evil Geniuses, with the tournament's action coming to a close on Sunday evening.

One of the teams still in the running is Natus Vincere, who will meet the victors of the aforementioned North American derby, as well as the number-one-ranked team in the world, HEROIC. The Danes have been dealt the toughest draw on paper, as they are set to face off against the winner between Liquid and BIG.

The third part of the bracket sees Astralis face off against Ninjas in Pyjamas, who will be playing Spring Groups with Max "⁠maxster⁠" Jansson despite announcing the signing of Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke. The winner of that match will clash with OG for the final Spring Final spot.

Except g2 had amanek and navi has s1mple. There's also many other reasons, navi's whole playbook is centered around s1mple and utilizing him everywhere on CT. M0nesy probably wouldn't be able to do that as effectively so they would need to rework their whole play style. And they just won the Maje at the time, why would they change something that wasn't broken

I think we will see alot more of Big pick Mirage, let Inferno or something else slide, Anubis decider and then they never make it to Anubis. It has become really the worst pick since every team can play it.

yeah, mirage is a good map for big, but personally i dont think they should choose it as their own pick, in this series at least, simply because liquid will most likely pick inferno/anubis and get rid of vertigo eventually, it's their Achilles' heel. We don't have any data about how good big are on anubis and i'd say big look very bad on inferno, meanwhile liquid used to destroy everyone on inferno and look damn good on anubis. Best possible veto for big imo big remove ancient liquid remove nuke big pick vertigo liquid pick inferno/anubis big remove anubis/inferno in the end big need to pray for -overpass and close the series on mirage. Or, if big lucky enough, liquid can pick mirage as thei own map, this would be the best scenario for big if they win first map, but there wont be any room for mistakes, overpass/anubis/inferno are comfortable maps for liquid to close the series.

BIG could look better on Inferno but someone hasnt told k1to yet that his smoke plays on Banana are never working. You can always see him through the smoke. He tries that every game twice and it never works.

hltv is wrong, now G2, Faze and vitality have to play versus everyone in their respective groups, play the rematch against everyone, and if they get 5 wins vs each team they qualify for the next qualifier.
