Six teams qualify for World Finals

The European Championship Finals has found the teams advancing to the Extreme Masters IV World Championship Finals in March.

With the group stage concluded, we have now learned which teams advanced to the World Championship Finals. Six spots was up for grabs at the European Championship Finals, and with SK Gaming and fnatic already qualified, it would go to six teams making it into top six.

The defending champions of the European Championship qualified after all, as mTw managed to overcome n!faculty in their last group stage match. Together with Ravens, mousesports, MYM, KerchNET and oXmoze, they qualify from the European Championship Finals to the World Championship Finals.

Qualified for the World Championship Finals are:

Sweden fnatic United States Evil Geniuses Denmark Ravens France oXmoze Denmark mTw
Sweden SK Gaming United States compLexity Ukraine KerchNET Germany mousesports Sweden MYM

The last two spots for the World Championship Finals will be determined 5-9th of February, when the Asian Championship Finals take place in Taipei, Taiwan. The World Championship Finals will take place 2-6th of March at the CeBIT exhibition in Hannover, Germany.

lot of people expected that but hltv.org pronostics suck all the times. what idea to put oxz at last, everybody would put them 3rd or 4th.

Hmm no. Honestly, oXmoze wasn't going to get more than 4 in my head. Alternate, mTw should have played better... (I recognize the French "ego" there when you say "everybody would put them 3rd or 4th")

U talk that way because ur French guy, and you know your national Counter-Strike scene. But they were a surprise. Just look how much ppl lost in bettings.

Maybe the French people expected a lot from oXmoze, no disrespect there, but others would have put them to place somewhere in the bottom-part of the standings.

exactly the same when australias Immunity stomped Digitas in WCG, everyone in AUS knew they could do it easy, and XLBet had odds of 21-1, we cleaned up that day

well, it's really a subject of relatively matter. everyone who have followed oxmoze closely the last time knows about their potential. but since french cs hasnt been a hot topic the last time, i wouldnt blame any non-french guy to not think big about oxmoze. personally i knew about them and thus expected them to finish 3rd or 4th in the group. :)

it's a surprise on hltv.org. They can't know well each team. And ofc for the moment oXz (not emL) didn't prove anything @international lan, so it's normal to think that they will lose. On the other hand, french people know that oXz can make a good performance because we follow them well.

I expected both Ravens and oXmoze to qualify. I picked Ravens to win their group, its true I did. I picked KerchNET to win group B and I was between them and oXmoze. If you have watched oXmoze at all in the past you know they have potential to beat anyone.

You can't have known anything about how they would perform internationally either, so that's just bullshit.

when you have 3 ex-emL in the line up, it's bullshit to think that they couldn't perform well internationally. (and wake up, hltv.org is not the only source of informations, you know?)

No, MYM is the biggest surprise. They were even not meant to play there, and now they are in WF. I can agree on oXmoze, but RR not, they have very strong lineup and it's not the first time they play great.

As i Know how they gets prepared, I wanted oXmoze to be, and they are qualified. I understand why they were not placed like this : their last GREAT international tn was in 2007 and they have changed their lineup since. But you will see, when they make a mistake, they look at it and correct it during the 3 next days. As I know how oXmoze is working, they can be even better than what they have done these days.
