Matchups set for BLAST Major Europe RMR closed qualifiers

The closed portion of the European RMR qualifiers are set to kick off, boasting 32 teams, including the likes of G2, OG, and Astralis.

After intense open qualifiers, the next stage of the European qualification process for the BLAST.tv Paris Major is ahead — the closed qualifiers for the Regional Major Ranking tournaments.

Two closed qualifiers boasting 16 teams each will take place from February 16-19. Each of the two Swiss groups — played in best-of-ones until elimination and advancement matches — will have eight spots at the RMR on offer, and the teams placed 9th-11th will go on to fight in the Last Chance Qualifier.

After failing to qualify for the Rio Major, G2 are by far the biggest name on the docket and are about to face off against mostly lower-tier opposition in a quest to secure three wins and a spot in the European RMRs, which will take place in Copenhagen in the first half of April.
