Anonymo disband

The Polish lineup will go their separate ways after falling short of qualifying for the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR.

The Anonymo players have parted ways with the organization and have chosen to go their separate ways, it has been announced. Anonymo revealed the decision on Monday, with Grzegorz "⁠SZPERO⁠" Dziamałek and Paweł "⁠innocent⁠" Mocek providing more detail in TwitLongers shortly after the initial announcement.

The core of the Polish lineup had been together for just over a year, while innocent had by far the longest tenure under the organization's banner at a little over two years. During that span the team competed in a plethora of online tournaments and attended three notable offline events, claiming a title victory at Gdansk Games 2021 and only narrowly missed out on qualifying for PGL Major Antwerp through the Europe RMR.

Not making the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR was the primary reason cited by the players as the reason they chose to go their separate ways at this moment. "I will be leaving Anonymo as we decided to not continue playing together after not qualifying for RMR," 19-year-old Łukasz "⁠mwlky⁠" Pachucki stated following the announcement.

"I really need some time to cool off," innocent added in his own follow-up. "This period of time really drained a lot of my mental health, but with [the] correct opportunity I will just shake it off and get back to the server."

SZPERO was the last player to join the team, only linking up with the roster at the start of January. He took part in a handful of European Development Championship events with them ahead of their BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR qualifying campaign, during which the team fought through the grueling open qualifiers before ultimately exiting the closed qualifier with a 1-3 record following close losses.

"I joined the team at a very difficult time, but I knew what I was signing up for," the 31-year-old explained in a TwitLonger. "The goal was to improve our game and be ready for [the] RMR and then decide what to do next. We played this tournament better than everything else, but we were not satisfied with our performance in any way.

"[Other than] that, there were other factors, such as the departure of the coaching staff. The only thing I can write is that despite not the best results - playing with the boys gave me fun, which I didn't experience recently. I could fully trust them all and they are just super homies."
